Is SICPRE the equivilent to BAAPS??
Is the Italian Association of Plastic Surgeons (SICPRE) equivilent to BAAPS? I am looking to have a consultation with Mr Marando and it says on his website that he is a member of the Italian Association of Plastic Surgeons and then in brackets it says 'equivilent to BAAPS'. But how do i know that this is the equivilient and the same amount if training has gone into it? I really like the sound of him and have heard good things, but any surgeon thats not BAAPS registered makes me a little uneasy and i kinda wonder why? If they are highly qualified, why would they not want to become a member? Thanks!

SICRE from what can find are linked to EASAPS
And I read this from the BAAPS webite -
Note the wording 'HELPING TO RAISE STANDARDS'
If you're particularly wanting a surgeon with a BAAPS reputation hun, then you should seek one that suits you in my opinion, BAAPS are currently helping to raise the standards of other countries babe, it doesn't state they have already raised them. xx
And I read this from the BAAPS webite -
BAAPS is also helping to raise the standards of aesthetic/cosmetic
surgery around the world by forging close links with the European
Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (EASAPS) and also
with the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS).
