Gutted......but is it too early?
Girls I'm gutted, just took my sports bra off that I was told to keep on until today and my nipples are more wonky than they were before, ok so the creases have gone from my boobs but my nipples are horrible.
It's only been a few days since my re op but shouldn't I be seeing an improvement by now?
I think I am going to take daily pictures to see if it's getting better or worse,
I just can't believe that I haven't got the perfect boobs I dreamed of, I'm wondering whether I will ever get them or do I just have to put up with these?
I'm so self conscious about them at the moment and don't want to show them to anyone, I would actually rather have my small boobs back.

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
I would give it a little longer, speak to your ps as to when you should start seeing your final outcome xxx

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
Take pictures daily or regularly to chart their change, definitely.
I don't know how long you have to wait honey but definitely think you should speak to your pcc or surgeon and air your concerns.
I have to say I am very glad I didn't like Mr Frati when I saw him, I am gutted for you

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
I'm finding it hard to be positive,
I don't think it's the fault of the surgeon I just think its my body being stupid
I did email him and tell him I wasn't happy and he said to wait until next Friday when I have my next appointment.
I could just scream.
It could also just be me imagining the difference too - I don't have anyone to show them too so they could be looking a lot better and I've still got it in my head that they are awful,
My picture thingy doesnt work properly but if someone could send me their email addy I could send them a picture for an opinion, it might put my mind at ease a bit,

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
Hey hun it is still quite early, so try not to panic. What exactly did he re op for? What did he do? Were implants changed?
Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
I have another thread about it Hun,
Basically I was concerned over wonky nipples to start with, the. I developed a crease on both breasts.
I was told that this was because I swelled up so much after surgery my skin had stretch and allowed the implants to drop to far, the left one he said was midly bottomed out.
The op I had was to just remove some extra skin from underneath both of my boobs which meant cutting out the old scar tissue and creating a new scar,
I didnt get knocked out for this and had it done under local, my implants werent changed so Im not sure if results should be fairly instant.

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
I agree I would have thought it should be quite an instant result apart from some swelling around the scar. I would speak to your surgeon again, give him chance to defend hhimself, and see what he suggests. If you are still not happy I would start formal complaint procedures and request a re op for free from a more competant reconstructive surgeon. Its not your fault hun and if this could have happened again you should have been warned about it. Some surgeons in the clinics are only good at cutting open and putting implants in 80% of the time this produces decent results. Add a complication and they are not too good at correcting it.
Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
I don't think I'll be able to get a different PS unless I pay as I went direct with this surgeon and not through a company,
I guess I will just have to wait until next Friday when I go for my check up and discuss things with him.
I'm not sure what the next steps are though, I'm just really gutted as I thought I would need one op and get perfect boobs and now here I am 2 ops done and still look down at my horrible boobs.

I had Mr Frati too. Is it just your nipples you don't like? How uneven are they?

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
My nipples are about half an inch different in height, but since the small re op it seems that they are completely different shapes now.
I am trying to be positive and that they might still change in the next few days as they have to settle down again but I'm not sure,
A picture diary over the next week will be handy to see if there are any changes and at least when I have my appointment next Friday I can say whether they are getting better or worse,

Mine aren't even either, but never measured by how much. It's very minimal I think, though they weren't 100% symmetrical pre op. I can notice it when looking closely at my naked boobs but no one else can. It probably looks a lot worse to you than what it really is, but a picture diary is definitely a good idea and it is very early days x

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
Tracy
The problem may seem worse to you as it's so important to you.
You were told that you swelled up a lot last time so it's fair to assume that major swelling is your body's coping mechanism.
Asymmetry (sp?) is incredibly common and not half as obvious to onlookers or to us as it is to us when we're post-op. We're all hyper-critical and notice every tiny detail which may have passed us by before our ops.
I will pm you my e-mail add if you want me to look. But remember Tracy that it's VERY early and you swell a lot so try not to panic hun. Take your pictures, keep on this forum and stay strong. All is not lost!

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
It sounds like you had something done similar to what I had done xx
I wasn't really able to see a great difference or huge improvement for a few weeks hun xx Also the improvement was gradual as I healed xx
My advice would be for you to be patient, but that if you are still unhappy you may need to have further corrective surgery xx
Bottoming out is notoriously difficult to correct sweety xx I'm sure you'll get there in the end

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
Tracy, if he has removed skin and pulled it tighter (maybe buy different amounts on each side) i would have thought it might also pull your nipples into different shapes. I'm sure once your skin relaxes as you heal they are likely to return to tge shape they originally were x

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
I have emailed pictures to my PS and he is going to upload them onto his computer with the rest of my before during and after pictures so that I can compare the nipple placement and the shape of each boob.
He has also told me to be patient and that I can't expect to be perfect at only 3 days after the procedure,
I am very down about this all and I'm hoping its all in my head...I'm all over the place since quiting my job 4 weeks ago and I'm starting a new job tomorrow and I guess I'm stressing out about it big time. My old boss was an absolute git...I had worked for him for 8 years and during the last 2 years he has convinced me that I am useless and that his 4 year old son or 3 year old daughter would be able to do a better job running his business for him. Since I left he has been bad mouthing me and refusing to give me part 3 of my P45 - I only just managed to get it out of him yesterday.
I know this is all affecting my confidence and I just hope that the new job will help me get back to being me.
Thanks you for all your support though girls....I'd hate to think what I'd be like without you.

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
Hi girls,
Just been for a check up and all seems a lot better, as mentioned before I had swollen up a lot again and this is what caused the horrible shaped boobs,
I have ignored them since I started worrying and haven't even looked at them until today when the steri strips were removed,
They are ok, no signs of bottoming out again and incisions healing well,
My left nipple is still higher than the Right but I have looked back at my before pictures and this was the case before my op it's just that I never really took much notice of it.
If I want I can have another procedure free of charge - nipple lift, but it would involve a scar along the top of my nipple which would probably be very noticeable as I have been told I have delicate skin hence how easy I have bruised and swelled from this procedure,
I am now feeling much much more positive and want to thank all you girls once more for your support, without you I don't know where I would be....you really are lifesavers.
Oh and I've been told no housework or heavy lifting for another 2 weeks, my house is a absolute disgrace and my male housemates are a nightmare at cleaning. But I'm not going to stress about it, I'm going to carry on letting the place get into a state to see how bad they will let it get.

Re: Gutted......but is it too early?
Aw Tracy that is great news that you're feeling more positive and healing nicely. And how interesting that you didn't jump at the chance of a nipple lift as soon as it was offered. My nips both face the world at slightly different angles too but as with yours, they were like that before and I never noticed so it didn't bother me. Now our poor babies have more ooooomph we expect a lot of them lol!
And hurray for a messy house!!! No point in messing yourself up girl! Rest up.

Tracy, I'm so glad you are feeling more positive and things are settling better.
It is so disheartening when you expect something to be perfect and in your eyes it isnt. I'm sure, given a few more weeks, that everything will settle and your boobs will be perfect x
