RE OP for high lefty yesterday
Hi Ladies,
Had my re-op for non-dropped lefty yesterday, six months after original op. Was only a day case and all done in 30 mins or so. In theatre at 2.20 and home by 7. Mr Davison was great and it didn't cost me anything. I seem so have scarred on the pocket before implant could drop. Just goes to show that its true they are like 2 seperate operations as my right has been perfect since early on.
I haven't looked yet but have faith it's sorted. Having a great surgeon must make a lot of difference. I'd have hated to face challenges before getting this done.
Just thought I'd share in case anyone facing similar. I am more comfortable this time round and its good to have a useable arm on the other side.

Hey surfgirl
Sounds like you have a gem of a surgeon there. Hope you can get your leftie will catch up soon and you don't suffer too much discomfort.
When you're up to it, would you mind letting me see a picture of your high leftie (before the revision surgery of course) as mine is also too high and I'd be interested to compare. Absolutely no rush of course - please rest and get strong!!!

Re: RE OP for high lefty yesterday
Sue,
Only my surgeon has pics. I never took any as didn't feel it was important (although writing that I prob should have just in case?) All I can say is mine were post baby. I had empty breast tissue which needed filling. My lefty you could see the top of implant, hard and round at top, but righty looked soft and natural......no sign of implant. My left looked like breast tissue was hanging off the end and the nipple was lower than it should be. Already I can see it is even
Hope that is helpful. Feeling pretty good today, just sore rib cage

Sue, I should also say it takes about 6 months for them to settle and they do that at different rates. I wore a band for 3 months to try and budge it with no luck. Yours might get there by itself as it's still early days

Re: RE OP for high lefty yesterday
Thanks for the replies surfgirl and the words of encouragement.
Seems to be a waiting game, but your experience shows that things can be tweaked quite easily if nature doesn't oblige!
Happy healing hun.
