Post by LolitaCampbell 26th January 2012, 1:26 pm

Hi girls,

I'm having my surgery in 7 days time, but i've no confirmation from the actual hospital (Abbey Riverside - Transform). I've read on here that girls others have had some kind of confirmation letter, and the only thing i've really had is a letter from Transform about the payments i've made. I was expecting to have something from them expalining what to do and what not to do beforehand, (eg, vitamins etc). I've started my arnica today, and on the letter it does say my admission date and time, but nothing else whatsoever. I cannot get hold of my pco. I don't know what to do now. I should be really excited now, but i'm not, because i am concerned about the lack of communication. What do you think i should do? Please help. I'm soooo worried that i cannot even eat anymore, for a few days now.

Thanks. Major Concern Please Help! 856466

Oh dear I got all that sort of info at my pre op but I only got my admission time on the fone on Monday. Think different hospitals do it differently.

I was told not to take aspirin or ibprofen as this thins the blood, also to avoid garlic.

try foning them again tomorrow maybe

try not to worry to much (I know its hard though)

let us know how u get on

good luck x

I was given info prior to the op by the PCC and surgeon but then had a phone call from the hospital 48 hrs before with my time and some do's and don'ts. Have to say though I didn't get much in the way of info prior to the op, I think I learnt more from being on here!

Don't worry at all Hun, give them a call & ask them xxx

Other do's and don'ts apart from those the girls have listed is no alcohol 3 days before 10 days after, no smoking 2 weeks before and 6 weeks after, vitamin c supplement 1 week before; that's off the top of my head hun hope it helps.

Oh also bras a band size bigger than you usually are and a cup size bigger than you anticipate to allow for swelling.

Please try calling them hun xxx

Thankyou, girls. thankyou SOOO very much. I have phoned Riverside who will be calling me back tomorrow, and i am starting to relax a bit now. Without you very lovely girls, i think i'd be a wreck! I have definately learned more on here than i ever would have by depending on Transform to provide ALL the information needed. Not that they're a bad company, not at all. I think they're actually the best which is why i chose them, but my mind has been put at ease just by reading up on here.

I thank you all so very very much, and will keep you all posted. I will be finally starting a diary either today or tomorrow.
