Does your scar hurt when you wear a bra?
Hello girls.
I was just wondering, those who had the scar under the boob in the crease, does your scar hurt or get irritated by the underwire?
I only ask because I had a c section 16 months ago and tight jeans are a little uncomfortable sometimes and it hurts when I knock it, despite it healing really well and not having much of a scar!
Is this the same with your scars?
Thanks.

No after 6 weeks my scar was pretty much healed and I get measured properly so was wearing the correct size when I moved from sports bras to underwire bras. Mine never hurt. The first few weeks is a different matter though, the bras do tend to be uncomfy no matter what.

Hi Hun,
I'm not yet in wires (3 days to go woohoo!) but I haven't found it to be too uncomfortable yet. At first they were a tiny bit uncomfortable because I was wearing sports bras that didnt fit properly and cut into the incision. The nurse told me to get bras that sat below them or pop some padding just underneath. I found this really helped.
By the time I moved into non wires at 6 weeks post op the scars had healed well enough for it not to be a problem at all. however I do find that my bras tend to fit differently and the band does sit a bit further down. the incisions are so nicely tucked away under the crease that you will find it fine Hun xxx

Brilliant. It's hard to imagine this as my boobs don't have much of a crease at the moment. My avatar is all padding!! Lol.
So the wire doesn't sit directly over the crease where your underwire is? :flowers:

It doesn't seem to in my case Hun. Not sure if anyone else finds the wires dig in but I find with the shape of my boobs the wires sit just below where my incisions are. I wonder if anyone else finds this? Fake boobs tend to fit bras differently.... Someone should def come up with a range of sexy bras that properly fit women with BA!!!! xxxx

yes I'm wondering how They are going to feel when I wear the wires full time! At the mo I'm just really trying them on! I guess it takes a while to adjust! I have to say though I have some lovely non wired bras from Debenhams and they are so so comfy & don't actually look too bad either xxx

Someone pointed me in the direction of this website a few weeks ago. There's only a couple of bras on there but apparently they're particularly comfy for our new assets. If anyone's used them I'd love to know!
