Crying - what has happened to my boobs help Empty Crying - what has happened to my boobs help

Post by Chrissy1361 8th January 2012, 7:49 pm

Hi girls

My right boob has dropped and my nipple looks so odd and drooping, my boobs look like two different sizes, I feel so deformed. Please could you girls take a look and let me know if anyone else has had similar probs, if this is normal please be honest as I am at my wits end. The pics are in my picture trail and I am going to give out my password here as I am desperate for feed back.

Pre op I did have one slightly bigger and lower but they looked so much better in the first few days and I was over the moon, now I just feel they are bigger and just the same.

When viewing my pics the ones I am concerned about are days 14-17 and the boob I am worried about would be the one you view on the left face on.

Hi Chrissy, I think it's too early days to make a judgement as you've still got lots of healing to go through. Each boob will heal at different rates. I think my right boob is dropping more than my left at the moment. Have you got a follow appointment soon? Try not to panic and give yourself some more time. I didn't realise until now how many changes we will go through. Please don't panic. Xx

Your boobs will drop at different rates as you have had two ops not just one, it would be too early on to judge hun give it a few more months.

Hey,like Smallblue said, try not to panic. I'm no expert, but they don't look deformed to me! Your righty has obviously dropped a lot quicker, but you need to give the left time to catch up.

I know how worried you must be (I've freaked a few times over what has turned out to be nothing!) but try to stay calm. I'm sorry I can't be more help,I don't really know what I'm looking for complications-wise. But we do have to go through so many changes, and it takes a long long time.

If you're really worried make an appt to see your surgeon sooner rather than later. xx

Hi

Just had a look at your pics am no expert but think maybe one has dropped earlier tha the other and remember each breast is classed as a different operation so only time will tell , my right one is looking flatter than my left but just figure that it is still very early days and they have got a lot more changes to go though yet .

I agree with the girls above, I think its just the normal changes, remember your the biggest critique and things wont look anywhere near as bad to anyone but you. I'm tempted not to look at my boobs for a month when I get them because I know I'll be exactly the same freaking out about any change. Try not to worry

Thank you so much girls, I really thought I had got my head round the two separate ops and that it will be a good six months before I should even begin to worry.
I think its just a couple of the pics made the change look so drastic, my friend and daughter have had a look at them in the flesh and said they are fine, and to take into consideration that the picture angle is not that flattering.
I'm just having a bit of a tearful day I guess, thank you all again for being so lovely and giving me the kick up the a*** I need xx Heart

Dont panic!

The side that is higher is much more bruised. So maybe will take more time to heal?? ...and settle.

I really thought mine were soft & settled at 3 months but now I am 8 months po and they are so different. You have lots of changes yet to happen.

There is a youtube video (will find the link in a mo) that advises on bras and things to do post op to care for ya boobies. Dunno if it works.

I am always having little panics about mine - drives dh crazy!

Crying - what has happened to my boobs help Empty Re: Crying - what has happened to my boobs help

Post by FloJo 8th January 2012, 9:37 pm

Hi, hopefully to add some further reassurance to what's already been said my boobies in the early days also looked like they were at different levels and I worried there was something wrong but over time they have both evened out, but I would imagine at the moment your feeling like it's not going to happen, all I can say is be patient as it takes a while. I think I am still changing even now. Also I found looking at photos of my boobs made them look distorted, as when I looked in the mirror they looked better. Before my op one nipple was slightly lower than the other but because my boobs were non exsistent it wasn't as noticable as it is now they're bigger, it worried me to start with but I don't even think about it or see it now.

Hi Hun

I have just had a look at your pics and in my honest opinion I really dont think you have anything to worry about. This is just a natural progression. Try to stop stressing and just plan what new lingerie and outfits you are going to be wearing soon to show them lovely new boobies off xxxx

I agree with all the other comments hun it is very early days so give it time. I have one slightly lower than the other but was told this is because one was slightly lower pre op too (I just never noticed because they were so small and i hated looking at them!)I looked at ur pics and they look great hun loads of changes to happen yet so i'm sure they will even out xxx

Awww its very hard when you desperately want to feel reasurred when you look at pics isnt it!?! Ive took some dodgy pics as well (usually the ones Ive tried to take of myself so theyre never that great when you are holding the camera I think) dont keep them, they just torment you - I know how many normal pics Ive binned where ive hated how I look because of a daft expression or even worse when no-one warned me to breathe in Crying - what has happened to my boobs help 199385 so these are just the same, some pics just turn out crap and its not real.

one of the other ladies said about us being our own worst critiques - this is SO true and also what spittingfairy said ...

spittingfairy wrote:I know how worried you must be (I've freaked a few times over what has turned out to be nothing!) but try to stay calm.

really struck a chord with me, have done this too - more than once!

you seem more calm now and it was probably more down to a wobbly day, its a bloody rollercoaster we are on isnt it.

cant comment on your pics sweet cos I cant seem to get on picturetrail at the mo - dunno what Im doing wrong but you've had loads of great comments from the others anyway.

Thank you girls, your comments are so reassuring. Many of you have said it's been a rollercoster and have had similar probs which have all settled now, and if all your avatars are anything to go by you all look beautiful.
So I will stop panicking and start thinking about how good they will look.

Hi Hun,

I'd actually pm'd you before seeing this post - I think they look great - they do look slightly different but as others have said i'd think one has dropped before the other.

you are still quite bruised which i think shows how much healing you still have to do. try and rest as much as possible and try not to worry - i am sure they'll be fine hun xx
