Night out next week - advice needed x
Hey Girls,
i am going out next weekend for a bit of a party night with some friends. It will be the first proper night out since my new additions and I would like to wear a top or a dress that shows off a little bit of chest.
This means I'm going to need to wear a proper bra!
By next weekend I will be just a few days shy of 6 weeks post op...... so my question is, do you think it's too soon to be wearing a normal bra? Is it silly to wear a push up bra this soon after the op? And if any of you did wear a push up bra this early, how long did you have it on for and were you very sore the next day? Should I remove the underwire?
I don't want to do myself any damage, so if any of you think I'm being ridiculous please say so! I will just have to make do with a boring top and my sports bra and be patient....
LOL xx

I was checked over before I was given the go ahead and wired bras made my boobs hurt after about 20mins of wearing them. So I had to get used to wearing them again buy putting one on an hour a day and slowly getting used to it. I also found my boobs were too firm to achieve the cleavage I wanted. I'd check with your ps hun

Thanks for the advice. I think I might try to find a non wired bra that is a little bit more flattering than this high impact thing (which really makes me look about as flat as I did pre-op!) as it sounds like a normal bra will be too uncomfortable.
Plenty of times ahead when I can show off the boobies! xx

Hey Opal...you can also get a normal bra, make a tiny slit and take out the underwire...then save it so you can put it back in at a later date. Although without the underwire the boobies don't get pushed up quite as far.
You may be ok for a few hours, but "normal" bras will hurt a lot on the ribs.... have a good night though!!

Just get a normal bra like Ali says and take out the wires that's what I've been doing since week 6! I've got my 12 week check 21st December to see about underwires :) fingers crossed! Although my Xmas outfits all require bra less another perk of new boobs lol x

I was given the go ahead to wear any bra from 4 weeks. I've been wearing underwire ( not push up) no problem for the last week. It's funny because the area below my boobs is a bit sore to touch but the underwire has made no difference.

Hey chick. I was allowed to wear them from 2 weeks, but chose not to. He said they wouldn't damage them, but might obviously be uncomfy and rub the scar. I wore one this week for an hour or two,and alhtough it didn't hurt I did want my soft bra back on! Plus, like MisF said, they'll still be a bit too firm to get any decent oomph.
There's a nice bra on the Next site,it's a purple (ish) non-wired one (just searc the site) and I've seen it on girls and it manages to push them in.

I was allowed to wear wahtever bra I wanted from 4 weeks post op, but best to run it past your PS just to be 100% whichever way. I'd say you'd be safe, though...
