Re: January Buddies
Apparently the prune juice stops you being bloated? Read on a few of the list on here that people found it really works? Hoping to not get bloated in the first place!
Yeah i'm glad i'm staying overnight, will be good to just relax and recover! Gillmoo what time did you get out the next day? My friends coming to pick me up and I dont know what to tell her, guess its just whenever I get checked over and they say im fine?
xx

Re: January Buddies
Oh I could have done with the prune juice then, I was definitely bloated, and probably the worst part of all for me was the effects of the antibiotics I had to take for 4 days!
They told me it would be about 10.30 but I was ready to go by 9.30, I think it depends when your PS wants to see you, but you should be ready by 10 at the latest xx

Sorry Gillmoo, only just seen your post now from earlier. I've actually had my op In the spire hospital manchester but I live in Formby so there was an hours drive this morning. You were lucky having your surgery so close. I just really liked the surgeon here so opted to travel further.
How are you feeling now? Did you swell much after your op? Xx

Re: January Buddies
Im feeling great thanks Sarah Michelle, I had a bit of swelling on the sides of my boobs for the first couple of days but thats gone now. My actual boobs seem a bit smaller than on the first day so I must have had a bit of swelling then, but they look good and are just the size I wanted. They are still quite numb though, I can feel when I touch the tops of them but thats about it! Its a strange feeling but through reading this site I know its normal! xx

Steph - Misf1 is good with sizes if you let her know what you are starting at and what implants you are having she may be able to help.
No problem re the calendar, I hadn't realised there were so many of us this month!
I read about prune juice to so have added it to my list of things to get.
I could have been an overnight case if I wanted to be (for more money) and I would've have stayed over if it had be the Friday like I wanted but because it is a weekend I want to be with my OH as much as possible. He is going to stay home in the morning to do jobs like the food shop and get the house sorted then come and meet me around lunchtime and wait with me until i am allowed to leave that day.
I get so excicted when I see my ticker, can't believe it is only 12 days, 9 working days, eeeeek!
So glad we have this site, it must be so reassuring especially post op to know what you are going through is the same as others.
OMG can't believe it is 12 days!!!! Sorry ladies sooooooooo excited!

Re: January Buddies
:) it is exciting.
I haven't needed prune juice because not bloated of having any other troubles!!
So if you don't like it it doesn't mean you'll need it.
I'm making a list of all the useful things I've brought/ should have brought , I will share with you all when complete.
Xxx

Thanks honey - if it is any consolation you girlies have saved my OH's sanity. I don't know what I would've done if I hadn't had you all to chat too, lol.
When did you get yours done?

Almost in single figures for number of days!!! I have a manic weekend this weekend too so that should help it go quickly
I'm dancing at a hard dance event on Saturday night - going to be weird being in a club sober all night but my OH isn't drinking either as he is DJing so that will help.

Re: January Buddies
Hi Gillmoo,
I am hOme they let me out 10am this morning. Ride home was a bit bumpy and I put a pillow between me and the seatbelt lol.
I'm fine though, today has been more uncomfortable than yesterday so just taking the painkillers. It's mainly when I stand up Si a lot off sitting down has been done. My right one is squelching occasionally so I'm guessing I may have some air in it. They look very stuck on today but that will be the swelling I guess.
How are you doing, still pretty mobile? x

Re: January Buddies
Just make sure you get plenty of rest and you will be fine, you should start feeling loads better after tomorrow. The squelching must be a bit wierd, but I've read about it on here so dont think its anything to worry about.
Im feeling good thanks, just really itchy round my incisions and otherwise pretty numb still.
But I'm sure you'll agree its well worth it!
Take care xx

No it was totally worth it !
I have some numbness too and puffy nipples which arnt too attractive at the mo but havent had any itchyness yet.
Do you still have dressings on and proper stitches? I hope your right about feeling better, the pain isn't bad it's just not being able to do much that is a bit frustrating because Im a fidget at the best of times :)
Yes you take it easy too! x
