Hi girls,

Well... I am 9 weeks after my ba on Wed when did you start to wear underwired bras? 923101

could not be happier!

At my 6 week check my surgeon told me i could start to wear whatever i wanted. Now I did treat myself to a few nice bras.... but them of them have actually been outside my fron door!!

Going away this weekend and going to bring something to treat my hubbie lol.

Feel really nervous to wear wire but i am sure it will be ok if i only wear one for a few hours?

When did your surgeon clear you? I think 6 weeks just sounds too early!

I am only 5 weeks post-op and the nurse told me (as it was the xmas part season) it would be ok to wear a wired bra for a few hours on the odd occasion- great!
Im sure you have nothing to worry about - go and enjoy!

Hiya, I got the all clear from 4 weeks Post Op to wear any bra i'm comfortable in! I'm 5 weeks now and wore an underwire for a few hours today and have been fine. I'm still wearing sports bra the rest of the time though :)

I was told six weeks, but will confirm this when I see my surgeon at check up. I bought a bra yesterday that had removable underwire, so I can wear it now with no wire and then put the wire back in when its time. Fab! Pinkpetal, I think you would be fine for underwire for a few hours now. Enjoy!

I have been told 12 weeks :(( gutted, I'm going to be spending the party season in non wired! I am certain you will be fine hun. I'm sure it just seems a bit strange at first. Enjoy your weekend away! dance xxx

My PS told me when I went to see him on Tuesday that I could start wearing any bra I wanted this week as long as the underwires don't rub my stitches. I went shopping yesterday and picked up some balconette style bras as they feel more supportive and comfortable. I'm a 30G yahoo probably because my boobs are quite wide. Can't wait to start wearing them and get out of this unflattering compression bra xx

I was allowed to wear whatever I wanted from 4 weeks PO. But I didn't start wearing underwire till about the 6 week mark because it didn't really start to feel comfortable until then.

i was allowed to wear them after my 6 week check up. Actually had one in my handbag just in case, turns out my guess panned out.
