It has been almost 9 months since my surgery and my doc has finally agreed to redo my areola. One is bigger than the other and odd shaped. My surgery is scheduled for next tuesday. I"m a little nervous as he isnt putting me to sleep for this. He is going to numb my area and perform the surgery while i am awake. I guess this kind of operation isnt major? He is doing a crescent lift on one and rounding it out. Anyone else have this kind of operation while having no sedation?

well i just had my underneath scars done on a local (full anchor uplift so they are quite big scars) and he let me watch! (only 2nd one as he thought i may pass out) dont be nervous. the only thing i felt was a fair bit of pulling about but yours will be minimal as there wont be so much cutting and moving of skin. i will warn you though, i didnt think the local would be as painful as it was as i have only had dental locals before and they are not toooo bad. doesnt mean yours will hurt though but prepare for the worst then it will be a pleasant surprise!

a crescent lift is a very minor op, will only take around 10 mins and tbh I think some surgeons only do it under GA because they get paid more...

you will be fine! and as Vicki says the worst part will be the injections but that only takes a sec or two...

Yeah, the nurse said she has had men practically almost jump off the table during the numbing process. I had local during the initial surgery but was asleep. I've contemplated not going thru it as one is just a fingertip lower and is a little bigger than the other side but i know if I dont i will always wish I had done it. The scars are hardlly noticable on the side needing fixed, why does that always seem to be the case haha.

yeah he has been giving me the run around for a while and i finally mentioned when was he planning on doing it as he already said he would 4 months ago. I'm excited, nervous, anxious and ready for it to e over with. I wonder if I will have any swelling since it is a small procedure.

Surgery went well. A little sore now. Cant wait to see how it looks tomorrow.
