Scar worries Empty Scar worries

Post by samsparkle 16th November 2011, 11:03 pm

Hi
Was wondering if anyone else had any worries with their scars. I had my BA 3 weeks ago and am really happy with the results. However tonite when I took my sports bra off I have got a slight raised lump on my scar on the left one. I am trying not to panic and will ring Transform in the morning. I have no redness , only a slight ache, which I have been getting. Have slept the last few nights without my bra and couldn't wait to put it back on in the morning, felt more secure.
I am trying not to be paranoid there is something wrong, and don't think I will sleep much now. My BF had a look and said it looks fine but where scar on right was redish, the one on the left was more white..
nope

Remember it's 2 operations 2 boobs so both side will heal differently it may just be ur bra has been rubbing scars do become raised while healing this is why once u have nurses permission u make sure u use bio oil and palmers coco butter for scar and stretch marks makes the scaring flatter and also helps it to not look as garish! You'll be told when u can use this Hun but still call ur nurse just to put ur mind at ease x

could be a bit of a stitch working it's way out, did you have dissolvable ones?

Morning, yes had dissolvable stitches and all been great. It is still raised this morning and tender to touch, I am hoping it's just another stage of healing, think I just need to check it out and get reassurance! It's accepting that they are changing daily I suppose.. Xx

When you get the ok, silicone strips are meant to be very good. You can buy them at boots for instance and cut them to the right size.

I have bumps on mine as well, think it's normal while they are healing, also think what misf1 says about stitches is true. I had a really itchy bump and could feel something on it, I had a look and there was a tiny thread - the nurse did say this might happen, if you had dissolvable stitches, it's just the stitches inside dissolving and if there is any of the thread outside it will fall off, I just took it off with a pair of tweezers, no probs since then. Sure you're ok, best to check tho xx
