Re: Mondors cord
Dont worry, its very common it seems. I have it too, just under my righty.
I spoke to a nurse and she said just give it a massage to try and ease the tightness. It will go by itself :) x

Re: Mondors cord
Hi hun, dont' know if you remember, but I had one as well, found it when I was about 2 weeks postop. I used warm compressions, and everynight I use to lie in a warm bath with the cord submerged. I'm now exactly 6 weeks post op and its completely gone. I didn't take any meds. It'll go away on its own. I know this is gonna hurt, but try stretching your arms as far above your head as possible, this will stretch it a bit,or if you can't do this, try bending backwards, this will cause the vein to stretch and release the clogged part.

Re: Mondors cord
I've just found 2 :( one under each breast! I only noticed as I had a really sore bit everytime I picked up my son and put him on my hip, I actually thought I had a bruised rib but knew it couldn't be as it was more of a stingy feeling, looked in the mirror last night and here they were!!! Can I make them worse by carrying my son or will they be ok and eventually go?? They're so uncomfy!

Re: Mondors cord
Great advice and link girls, will definately go for baths instead of showers now until my Mondors cords go. Just appeared a couple of days ago. Will also try the stretching. XXX
