Three weeks post op and still not comfortable Empty Three weeks post op and still not comfortable

Post by teddy73 1st November 2011, 10:19 am

Hey girls, I'm three weeks post op tomorrow, but my boobs still feel sore and alien to me. I had to line my sports bra with cotton wool as the skin is soooo sensitive. I'm sleeping on my back now, but feel like I have to hold onto them to move. It just feels like the doc stuck two tennis balls under my skin. Sorry for having a moan, but just want to feel normal and enjoy my new boobs Three weeks post op and still not comfortable 683465

So sorry that you are so uncomfortable hun. But this will change and it will get better. We all heal at a different pace and for some reason, my boobs have started getting sore again, well my nipples actually, and my stitches feel funny. But anyway. Try to get some nipple cream, if you're incisions aren't there. This will help a little. Take a few painkillers just before bed, this will help.

its completley normal teddy im just over 8 weeks post op and over the last 2 weeks ive finally managed to sleep on my side and the last week they have really softened up and feel like proper breasts to me, i no longer hold them all the time or worry about damaging them they are now just part of me and feel like i have had them forever, the only thing i cant get out of is wearing my sports bra to bed im just not ready to give it up. Mine felt really sensitive and painful my nipples felt like they were on fire every time anything rubbed against them, id read somewhere moisturising helped so i do this every morning after showering and i can now comfortably put my bra on with no soreness, hang on in there it wont be long now xx

I bet within a week you'll feel much much better. :) Hope you feel better soon hun. A hot water bottle and taking my painkillers just before I went to bed & as soon as I woke up helped me a lot. xxx

Mine were uncomfortable for a while - I still get twinges at 10 weeks PO and my left nipple is en fuego which is aggravating. Rightie is fine.

It's all early days hun, but that's not really a good answer is it? From what I've heard, about three months they start finally settling in and feeling like a part of you.

But the numbness and twinges can last for a year Three weeks post op and still not comfortable 43877

at least we have big boobies now though right??

It's obviously the nerves trying to go back to normal and punishing u for messing with them the little buggers! I'm 5 and a half weeks po and my boobiea are still totally numb from nipple down and I haven't had a twinge since week 3 :( I'm thinking I'm doomed to a life of having awesome boobies but not being able to feel them so twinges are a good thing! As for comfort I bet u notice such a difference week for it was my milestone week xx

I was the very same teddy especially my right side. But after three weeks I seemed to turn a corner all of a sidden. Im sleeping on my side not no problem and have little to no pain, just very very sensitive nipples! Scars are barely visible not even red I cant believe it. Hope you feel better soon x
