Re: Day 2 and feeling awful
Day 2 is by far the worst - also day 3 to be honest - because of the swelling. Put 2 bags of frozen peas on your boobies, 20 mins on, 20 mins off, and you'll at the least numb yourself up. THis also helps so much with swelling. I used them for the first 3 days and my swelling almost disappeared!!!
Chin up, sleep when you can, the pain will be over before you know it!

Re: Day 2 and feeling awful
Hi jojo, sorry you not feeling well. Sympathise with you, I found days 2 & 3 the worst felt yuck. I have found sleeping on the sofa more comfy, found that got bad back/bum ache in bed and think lack of sleep makes you feel worse.. I am on day 4 and have felt brighter in myself but my boobs are really achey, treating this as positive that the nerves are waking up. Think this forum is so helpful and we are all supporting each other. I hope you feel better soon.. :flowers: xx

Re: Day 2 and feeling awful
It was about day 5 I start to feel human again. First 4 days were absolute ar$e, but by day 5, I started to be able to get out and about, and you'll feel a lot better for being up and moving around some.
In those first couple of days, you get the feeling like you're a fool for having done it to yourself because you feel so bad, but when it all passes you think "eh, not so bad, really.."
xx

Re: Day 2 and feeling awful
Hiya jojo6 - so glad youre feelin better today. You usually up that early or is it the boobies gettin you up? Ive always been a bit of a lie-in-bed-lazy-at-ANY-oportunity kind of person but Ive been up an down through the night fidgety and always proper awake around 6am. I keep fallin asleep on the sofa
I definately think being able to shower/bath is the sanity saver. Take care and be gentle with yourself still tho ... its tempting to jump back into normaly daily activities at the first sign of feeling better ... if you overdo it you could end up feelin cack again - I know cos I did.
Them Lonsdale sports bras lovely an comfy arnt they - got a couple too! xxx

Thanks Kat4, I have three young kiddies so unfortunately I'm Always up that early! Lol. However, I'm with you, can't seem to sleep properly at all at the minute! Thanks for the tip, going to take it super easy for as long as poss, especially as hubby seems quite happy to do everything at the mo! (could get used to this!!!)
Peggysue, I got the racer backs and from day 2 have been stepping into them
Fine! xxx

Re: Day 2 and feeling awful
Jojo - I know this is going to sound ridiculous but here I go!! Make sure you're taking you antibiotics with food, even a biscuit is better than nothing! If your prescribed pain med is tramadol, it can make you sick, I was on it for 10 mths for an injury and it can knock you about!! Paracetamol is still the best analgesic pain relief!! And you're right, the GA bloats your tummy so drink as much water/fluids as poss! Trust us, it will all pass!! Gentle walk helps your circulatory system wake up too!! Hope that's helped.

Re: Day 2 and feeling awful
Thanks huni, really good advice! I stopped the co-codamol yesterday and have been fine since so definitely think it was this making me sick, especially the middle of the night dose on an empty tummy! Haven't needed to take anything today but will use paracetomol from now on. The antibiotics do repeat on you if you don't take them with food don't they?! Yuk!
Had a little walk in town earlier & am generally feeling loads better! thanks again xxx
