Am I crazy?
Right so i am getting my BA done on 19th Nov.... I have exams on 7th and 8th Dec? Is this asking too much of my body, and will stress delay the recovery?
I'm thinking maybe I should only do 1 exam this time round?
Or is 2 and half weeks ok to recover and study at the same time lol?

Only you will know how much your body can cope with, just take it easy and revise as much as you can before your ba, that way you hopefully won't get to stressed xxx

Re: Am I crazy?
What are the exams for?
I think you need to take a few things into consideration.... Firstly have u had a GA before and if so how did u recover mentally? Secondly, how important are these exams? Third everyone reacts differently. I had my BA 3 days ago and feel surprisingly ok- hope to go back to work next week BUT work is not the same as studying! And i say that as someone who spent 8 years at University LOL. Some people are more affected by GA than others.... Of course u may recover very quickly and as I said it depends what the exams are for.... But stress May delay your recovery... You need to make sure you're not compromising either your BA or your exams - they are both important!!!

Re: Am I crazy?
Well I am training to be an accountant......... so they are for my job... and obviosuly would like to pass as quickly as possible but...
I have never had a GA before so have no idea how my body reacts to it...
I guess will see how my body reacts to it all, work knows that I am having BA, will just be frustrating after all the work put in...
Will have to get working now
xx

Re: Am I crazy?
A GA should have left your body by 1-2 weeks, so you would be fine for the exam, maybe not for studyingthough. If you can do all your study before your op and just a quick read over your notes the week before I woould think you would be fine.
Re: Am I crazy?
Good luck with the exams and make sure you follow docs orders on abstaining from alcohol - that way your liver will be in the best possible shape to remove the GA from your system after your BA.

Re: Am I crazy?
i would do as much as i can before. The first 4 days you will be out of it so dont bother, but after that you will prolly feel better enough to read

As long as you feel up to it, i think 2 and a bit weeks is ok, as some us (me) will be going back to work a week later, just dont over do things. x x

Re: Am I crazy?
If you react well you'll feel a bit groggy for a few days and get over it after a week.
If you react badly you could be vomiting for a day or so, have the boobie blues and take a few weeks to feel normal.
Two extremes but without having had a GA before it's difficult to say. Personally I'd take misf1's advice and study up as much as you can now and a week after your op go over your notes again to refresh yourself. Also follow advice about drinking water, will help get everything going again and should help you recover much, much quicker.
