getting provisional surgery dates?
Did any of you call your hospital to get an idea of dates for surgery so you could check dates with work?
Am going to call today with my change on implant size and want to ask the receptionist if she can give me some dates I could possibly have the op to check with work.
Does that sound a silly thing to do?

Definitely call them - that's what you're paying their admin to do!

Re: getting provisional surgery dates?
Will they pass on the message to the ps about the implant size change or will I have to speak to him? It's not like I'm choosing a totally different size that I havent tried on.

Re: getting provisional surgery dates?
I would think they'd do that as the surgeons are pretty busy - but i'm sure you'll see him on op day to run through everything, confirm size etc. If you wanted to speak to him nearer the time about it i'm sure you can speak with him on the phone - that's what i did as I needed answers to some questions before I wanted to book date and pay deposit. Exciting!

I rung to change my implant size. Lady is going to pass on a message.
Had to ring my ps's secretary to get dates for surgery but no answer. Grrrr. Will have to try tomorrow.

Re: getting provisional surgery dates?
I told them what dates i could do, because i needed to fit it in around work, they looked and suggested a perfect date for me. I did keep phoning up though when i was waiting for my finance to come through to make sure the date was still free - very tense time!

Re: getting provisional surgery dates?
When I had my consult, they let me check dates in the diary, i had my 2 weeks booked off work for October, then I rang clinic and they penciled me in, then Mybreast rang me and I confirmd date with them.
Think mine was easy though as i booked well in advance.
Depends how soon you want your surgery.

Re: getting provisional surgery dates?
my ps left a message today. 2nd July he's pencilled me in for but as he left me voicemail I'll have to call him back and try and get it at end of July.
Can't believe I'm about to book a date!!!!!!!!! Seems so surreal.
