New wardrobe required post op?
Hey ladies..
So post op obviously will be requiring a whole new range of lingerie (which i can't wait for), but what about the rest of my wardrobe? For example if i go from a A cup to a DD? Did you find that the majority of your clothes still fit or was a huge shopping spree needed? Whilst i'm sure i'll enjoy buying some new outfits that show off my new figure i'd like to still fit into my current favourites!
Thanks xxx

Re: New wardrobe required post op?
I wore such padded bras pre-op, my clothes still fit me well, its just real boob filling them out instead of padding!!
But I am still planning some good shopping when I'm out of the sports bra, because ACTUALLY having boobs means all sorts of new and exciting ways to "get the girls out" so I'm going to exploit that! I paid enough, I may as well get my money's worth!!

Re: New wardrobe required post op?
Pretty much all of my clothes still fit....they just fit better!
With the exception of the really tight fitting stuff, waste of time trying to cram boobs into clothing :heehee:
But I think post op you will WANT to get a new wardrobe even if you don't need one, you might find yourself interested in different clothing, things you wouldn't of bought pre-op...your options are so much bigger (no pun intended) when you have boobs!

I have just done the wardrobe sort out. A lot of stuff did fit but shirts were my problem. I did year padded bras but must have got rid of 10-15 shirts that won't fit now... gutted as some were my favourites but happy how much better I look and feel in the stuff that does still fit!

I have been looking at loadsa tops that I would never have considered before - I cant wait for my BA and I think a pre-Christmas shopping trip needs booking. Goodbye to years of buying tops that my grannie would have been proud of

Re: New wardrobe required post op?
I found that most my tops didnt fit as I went from size 6-8 tops which oddly come with little boob space to the same sized top but needing ALOT more room which that small sizes tends not to have!
Stretchy tops are the only tops I can wear now as I cant find any size 8 tops that are not stretchy material that has big enough boob space which is quite gutting......I cant fit into shirts and normal tops I can get into but as my boobs are alot bigger then the tops become really short in the length as so dosnt fit well..........
Then if I go upto a size 10 its fits the boobs a bit better ( still a little small in that area) but is all baggy under my boobs and around my tummy area and gives me no shape
I have found bra shopin hard but top shoping is a total nightmare for me..................
Jane Norman do the most perfect tops to fit big boobs into but I think they went bust??

Re: New wardrobe required post op?
Like most of the comments posted, my tops still fitted after BA due to all of those years of wearing a padded bra. Which this really sucks because I was looking forward to updating my wardrobe.

Re: New wardrobe required post op?
I agree with the girls - everything still fits since I wore such padded bras, except for really fitted shirts and dresses that I wore without bras before. Most things just look AMAZING with NO BRA now
But as soon as I drop a few (15) lbs now that I'm finally back at the gym, I will be treating myself to a shopping spree around Christmas time!

I'm so looking forward to buying a backless dress. It's all I've ever wanted to wear. I'm making sure hubby takes me somewhere I can wear it, or maybe I'll just wear it on the school run lol xx

Gemari checkout Asos for backless dresses, there's a few gorgeous ones!! Most of my stuff is fine still!! Thankfully! I actually brought myself a dress that disguised my new additions for a work do so that no-one noticed them! And I got away with it.
