Post op sports bras - can i wear padding?? Empty Post op sports bras - can i wear padding??

Post by hanalou13 6th October 2011, 10:43 am

Hi - this is my first post, only just found out about this website from a friend - i'm loving it already!

I am having an uplift and BA in Nov and i am wondering about what post op support bras i can wear.... can i wear padding or do they have to be the straight forward sports bras with no padding?? I have found some on Marks and spencers website but i dont know which ones to buy!

Any info or past experiences would help! Or ideas where to get nice sports bras from please!

I have bought a couple of cheap ones from asda but read on here yesterday that matalan do good sports bras at reasonable price, thought id stop off there on my way home tonight!! x

OH yes very nervous, ive not slept properly in days lol.

I wasnt told to go up in chest size only to get a bra bigger in cup size than your hoping for to cope with the swelling. But i guess most people wont know for sure what size their going to be....i find it all a bit confusing!! Im only an 32 A at moment and hoping for a small D, i have bought 2 sports bras sizes C and D just incase. X

Just a normal sports bra hun. Padding probably won't be very stretchy

I would buy a Macom bra product code 1007. That's what my surgeon recommended. You just buy it in your normal back size and the cups are expandable so you don't need different sizes etc for swelling. It is more expensive at £35 but if you go onto the Macom website and when you checkout if you put mybreast in the promo code section you get 15% off. I bought one today for £32 including postage. It's also front fastening so ideal when your sore after surgery.

Alot of girls also sell there's on when they no longer need them, there's a medium (34 back size) on eBay at the moment which is going for 99p obviously will go up when people start bidding but they generally go for about £15-£20 xxx

HI Hanalou, i couldnt decide between 330cc and 350cc at first, tried the implants in my bra half a dozen times before settling on 350cc overs. I was really worried about unders and overs as i saw 4 different surgeons before i decided on last one. 2 said go over and 2 said go under.... its so confusing!! x
