No hun they will be fine don't worry. Just swollen over night. You can put ice packs on to reduce swelling.

Im sure this happends to everyone, I dont think its a huge issue as i believe the reason they ask you to sleep upright is to help the flow of blood and reduce the swelling.

If you feel calling the clinic would put your mind at rest certainly give them a quick call.

Thanks I think I shall have to get one it's really flattering for a sports bra. I've got the shock absorbers high impact and they really restrict what you can wear. Xx

Hi Stacey, found the bra on matalans website. Can you help me out with what size to get I'm wearing a 36 dd or 36 e sports bra at the min depending on where there from but normally I'm a 34 back but ribcage still swollen.

Could definitely do with some more flattering sports bras as I've been told got to wear then for 3 months now :(

I'd say go large or x large! Literally I'm a 28/30 bk but the large on the tightest is comfortable and has enough room to b under my stitches not on them! Xx
I'm getting a medium tomorrow for when the swelling goes down xx

I slept almost upright for a week to 10 days, it really helped with the swelling. Then I went flat, and then about 3-4 weeks I could sleep on my side again no problems.

Another help for swelling is to get up in the morning and just gently pace back and forth throughout your flat. Getting the circulation moving (gently) will really reduce the swelling from overnight. (Along with frozen peas!!!)

This usually stops around 2-3 weeks :)

I think your body knows when it is ready to lay flat, Im finding it so difficut to get comfy and generally end up pretty flat by the morning, but its not sore now when I do. The other night I thought Id just sleep flat on my back, and it felt after 10 mins like my boobs were pulling.
So I guess your body just tells you what you are ready for. At the moment Im trying a propped up side tilt with about 4-5 pillows but am really looking forward to just going to bed laying flat and nodding off..... bliss!!!!!
