Accident post BA Empty Accident post BA

Post by Babster 6th July 2011, 11:57 am

I had my BA on 24 June and went back to work on Tuesday this week. Unfortunately I fell over in the car park outside work. I put my hands out to absorb the shock and fortunately just hurt my palms and left knee. I also ripped my leggings but never mind those! By the time I got home my upper chest, cleavage and left boob was really sore and still hurts now. I phoned the surgeon's office after it happened and have been assured that any damage would have been obvious (like swelling) and that I should take extra anti- inflammatories and muscle relaxants. My surgeon is away at the moment. I am really panicking that I have damaged my boob job. My left boob now feels bruised on the side but there is no discolouration. I am so worried I have done something to the internal healing process. Has anyone else been through something like this? I had unders. I really didn't have much pain in my left boob before, it was all on the right and I had thought it was settling down quite nicely until this happened. I just feel like I have totally stuffed this up. Accident post BA 856466

Don't worry too much, your boobs will be sore as you obviously used your chest muscle when you put your hands out, the muscles have probably been tired out but not damaged.
I did something similar the other night and had the ladies on here reassure me not to worry. I didn't fall, though my son did and my reaction was to pick him up (6days post op) and I pulled a muscle, It isn't hurting as much today, luckily, I'm now 8 days post op!

I saw my nurse for my post op check yesterday she also said not to worry just be careful and take it easy from now on.

All should be fine Hug Xxx

Try not to worry to much babe, I'm sure its just the chest muscles that are aching. Just keep an eye on it and if you notice any changes ring your clinic back and take it easy. x

There was a lady on here who fell down the stairs a week post op and she was fine.

They will feel bruised and sore from the operation anyway. Try to take it easy and not worry about it. You can get fully looked at at your check up and get reassurance that all is fine.

Thanks for asking. I cannot imagine being kicked only one day post op!!!

I am very sore! Feel like I have taken a major step back but rang the surgeon's office again today and they have given me another prescription to relax the muscles. Sleeping is not good. But I am probably just too stressed about it which is increasing the pain. I am also going to buy a cabbage! Having read all the replies I feel more confident now that nothing is going to go wrong with the boob job. I just need to get through the extra pain that I didn't have before. I feel so pathetic when I can't even open a car door or carry my hand bag!!!!!!!!! On Monday I was doing well. Now I look like an old lady! But it will all be worth it in the end x Accident post BA 204135
