Exercising post-op Empty Exercising post-op

It looks like finally the bloating has gone down, but I've definitely put on some weight after pretty much sitting around for 5 weeks.

About 2 weeks post-op I was doing about 5 minutes slow walk every hour or so, or walked down to the shops, but I would feel tired and get out of breath easily at the time. Now that I feel pretty much normal, I want to get into an exercise routine but I don't know how much is
too much (nothing too strenous but enough to start shifting some weight
before summer).

I used to do a lot of running and gym before my surgery and I know I have to wait a few months before I can jump into this routine again.

Is 25 minutes every hour or so on a treadmill (easy stroll) too much or could I even increase this? Would I also be able to do crunches? On an american forum I saw someone was doing crunches after 4-5 days of surgery :s.

I was pretty fit to start with and went back to spinning at 3 weeks, started with a short run at 4 weeks didnt do weights though and after 6 weeks back to my normal 3-4x weekly full on training. Im also training to be a fitness instructor at the mo. I would just listen to your body, if you were fit before it shouldnt take long to get back into your original fitness regime.

.x. I've been told to wait 6 weeks. Even though I feel ok and normal I don't want to cause any damage while there still healing so I have just been walking at normal pace around my area for 30minutes twice a day just so I'm doing something. I wouldn't over-do it just in case. I'm not going to go back to the gym or even my yoga until my ps says its ok xxxxxxxxx

My ps told me that I could go back to doing lower body resistance work, walking on treadmill - basically anything that didn't involve me using my arms after 2 week but to listen to my body and take it easy. I'm in the gym usually everyday and was going to go back this week but do feel so tired and don't want to do risk anything so may leave it another week or 2.
