Exercising Post-op..
Morning Girlies!
I'm still recovering.. Have been a bit too active the past few days (Surgery was only Thursday) so I feel I need to rest up a bit.. Am getting real impatient and want to whip the twins out !!
Before my BA I was always at the gym, going to spin classes, Zumba classes and conditioning classes, I am very impatient and really want to get back to the gym ! I'm starting to feel a bit of a slob spending time sitting around 'resting', I'm getting bored and agitated !
Any ideas when I would be able to return to exercise?
Even gentle exercise like sitting down on a bike or walking on the treadmill (Less bouncing of the boobies the better am guessing??)
Thanks! xx

Re: Exercising Post-op..
Hi.
I had my BA a day before you and I see where you're coming from but I would say that most people will probably advise you to take it easy for a while longer. My PS has said nothing energetic for 6 weeks, but I think it's hard to put a date on something so individual. It really depends on the person. I know someone who was back at kick boxing classes after a couple of weeks... She had 250cc overs.
You could go for some gentle walks and do some leg exercises in the house. You can also do pelvic floor exercises without moving too much! The important thing is not to stress the scars. I think you said in an earlier post that your PS had to cut your tummy, so you've got that scar to worry about too. Don't forget you've had major surgery! You'll be able to get your fitness levels back really easily I'm sure.

Re: Exercising Post-op..
6 weeks? Oh gosh I'll be an elephant by then ! :(
I am finding the implants strangely comfortable and keep forgetting that I've just had major surgery, apart from the permanent hangover I feel almost 'normal'.
I guess a few walks round the park will have to suffice for a while.. !
Thank you :) xx

Re: Exercising Post-op..
Think of how much this surgery has meant to you, for you to have gone through the NHS, I can only imagine how emotional this BA has been for you and what it will mean to you now.
Now think about the excercise.... what matters to you more? A toned body? or, a great result from your BA?
That's your choice hun. When you've been through the healing process you can have both, but right now it's your choice - boobs? or excercise?
I know when you've had your BA and you feel great you want to get back to normailty as quickly as possible, but reality is sweetheart, you've just had major surgery, your body may feel fine but it's still very much healing and needs YOUR help now to do that!
The general advice for getting back to excercise is 6 weeks post-op, yes, that's a heck of a long time for someone who excercises regularly, but you can get back it later, it's no biggie when you think about te journey you've had to get the body you want, everything will fall into place and you'll be back excercising when your body is ready! Give it time to heal hun. xx

Re: Exercising Post-op..
Very true, I never looked at it like that.
I am determined to rest up now, don't want to do any permanent damage to my lovely new girls.
6 weeks it is ! Thanks :) xx
