Excercise at 3 weeks post op?
Hi Girls,
So it's 3 weeks tomorrow since I had my gorgeous boobs done...
I've had no problems, I'm healing very nicely...
I just wanted to ask some advice really... I've put on over 1/2 a stone since having my operation and I'm now desperate to get excercising again...
Did anyone start light exercise before the 6 week check up? If, so what exercise did you do?
I can't cope with the weight gain ladies and need to do something, even if it's a light jog
Thanks xxx

I'd stay away from jogging - nothing that will jostle your girls - you want them to settle into the pocket! But I'm doing treadmill walking (uphill) and the elliptical (no arms) and the stairmaster (no arms)
My PS was ok with this. Ring the clinic and double check though, you've paid enough money!

Or I've heard those recumbent bikes are also good - keep you sitting up straight, but you're still getting your cardio.
My PS said 'light' exercise from 2 weeks.... so I won't be kickboxing or lifting weights for the full 6 weeks, but the things Ali suggested all sound good to me! (I like the armless elliptical, BTW - I'm gonna use that one!)

I would definaltey take this up with your ps, as each surgeons advice is different, I wouldnt do anything too strenuous maybe walking but no jogging or something that will effect the healing process.

I exercised from 3 weeks , I was walking, and on the bike,
I didn't find it a problem at all and it helped me keep my shape etc,
At 6 weeks I began to lightly use X trainer and at 8 weeks I was bck jogging - very slowly but still jogging, xxxxx
