My Partner has a big mouth
My partner told some friends tonight about my BA. I've only told my best mate and I'm really p****sd off at him for blurting it out. I'm barely used to the idea myself without guys learing at my new babies before they've even stopped swelling and settled down (its only been 5 days). I wanted it to be on my terms if I told anyone at all (I didn't get big ones), and I went ballistic, especially because Ive already been asked to send a photo (to a female friend but that still creeped me out).
I know a lot of girls are completely cool about telling everyone, and I may well get to that point one day, but now that option has been taken away from me...I'm so angry and feel like **naughty word**. He's the kind of guy that will never admit he's wrong which is making me more upset. I was so excited and recovering really well so far, this has just gutted me, and I feel like hiding away for ever.
So I need your help, what's the comeback i should use when they start sneaking a peak or worse still decide to give their opinion ???
Love to you all xxx

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
If they're not too big and you're recovering well, you could try to pass it off as a (really bad) joke on his part.
As for getting him to understand, ask him why he would tell them! I'd want to know - that's a really personal thing, and I know for one my BF is being more secretive about it than I am. Your BF is probably so excited and wants his mates to be jealous of him - but he shouldn't make you feel uncomfortable.
Hope you get him set straight!

Thanks Ali,
Sadly the joke idea wont stick because he apparently told them months ago as well when I had just booked in for surgery.
He's a mere male that just doesnt get it. And let me tell you he wont get to see mine for a very long time now - serves him right!
Love ya
Caz xx

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
Ooh what are they like?!
My husband also told everyone. I mean everyone!
Apparently my new additions were the topic of conversation at a first team cricket match.
I convinced myself that it was nice that they felt it important enough to have as topic of conversation! (as opposed to 'The Ashes' or another cricket match).
Once you have recovered and they have settled you should be proud....cos they are gonna look stunning!

yayforboobs,
I say be proud and own ur new body....no use in trying to lie that u didn't get a boob job it's so commn now a days that it's nothing new...if someone ask you...tell them Yes!! I decided to spoil myself to a boob job and I'm gald I did....Don't be ashamed or embrssd that u had them done...I now have no problem admitting I had them done they have gave me new confindence that I lacked for so many years why not be proud of something that so far has been a positive addition in my life....

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
I really feel for you because I have only told my mum and my partner about my BA and I would go ballistic if either of them betrayed my trust in that way. My partner thinks I am being ridiculous though and that I should be totally open about it because otherwise it's like I'm ashamed of it which I'm definitely not, i just feel it's a deeply personal thing for me and would rather keep it to myself. If other girls want to tell lots of people then good for them, this is just how I feel.
Maybe your partner was feeling really proud of you and wanted to show off, not excusing him just trying to understand. I agree with the others, if the cat really is out of the bag then I'd just be like 'yes I had them done, and can you honestly say there's nothing about you that you wouldn't like to change?' We've all got something, I don't care what anyone says!
Congrats on your new additions though and try not to let anything spoil how great you feel about them! xxx

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
It really does suck when you find out something like this.
Personally, my immediate family and friends know, but no work mates, or extended family, and I wouldn't want general acquaintances to know! It's kind of one of those things where you want to be in control of who you do or do not choose to discuss it with. And it's upsetting when other people think they have the right to discuss what you're doing with others.
I was faced with 'fronting up' myself a couple of weeks back when the girlfriend of my BF's friend hit me up about mine. She's known as a big mouth, and as we're not even friends when she started asking fishy questions I just fobbed her off with a few white lies. But then she outright asked me about it, and the more she said, the more I realised she somehow knew EVERYTHING, down the the approximate date and even my surgeon! At the time I thought my BF must have told his mate all about it, and his mate had told her - I was a bit p*ssed, but figured the cat was out of the bag, so I just talked about it with her.
I hit my BF up later that day and told him I hadn't wanted her to know - because of her big mouth - and asked if he'd told his mate, he said he didn't remember telling him, but must have. But the more we talked the more he was like "Wait a second... I don't know who you're surgeon is... I'm always forgetting the exact date.... she CAN'T have got this from me!" (which is fair to believe!). We could only assume that someone ELSE in our group of friends must have blabbed it all to her! I think that upset me more than the idea of my BF doing the blabbing, purely because it kind of makes me feel like the topic of gossip. At least if it had been my BF it would have been bragging....
So I feel your pain hun x

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
I told alot of people and now I wish I hadnt as I have to have them redone. I also boasted about how well recomended my sugeon was and now I have to swallow my words. My sister in law threw it in my face yesterday so I know now that keeping it private would have been nice. You will have to put your boyfriend on a boobie ban to teach him a lesson!

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
Well girls, thanks so much for all your posts.
I'm still upset about it but I guess you're all right about the "cats outta the bag now". I guess if anyone brings it up, I'll have to just roll with it. Cant deny it cos they look so damn great, it would be hard to believe its not true!
I figure I'll just say nothing and if anyone has the guts to bring it up, Im going to tell them the truth. - I was sick of getting told to put some weight on and after two years of trying to look "healthy", I figured Id just get a PS to do it for me! Honestly I look the healthiest I have been in ages!
And yes tho the BF has apologised, he still in my bad boobie books. Tonight, I'm going to get him to admit why he did it in the first place, hey if it was because he was excited or showing off, I guess thats a positive. But he wont be tuning into my boobies until he puts a ring on my finger! I've waited over 10 years for my boobs and a ring. I have my boobs. Now I want my ring
Lovetouall xx

Geez Kiwi girl - I bet there are so many chix out there that are just INSANELY jealous that we had the guts to go for it.
Big mouth acquaintances is just boobaphobic, and want it more than any one else. You should tell her she needs one and see how that shuts her up

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
Yeah, ultimately think it all comes down to jealousy! Other girls wish they could do it (either have the guts, or the money!) and guys wish that their GF's would!!
So basically they want us / want to be us!! Maybe we should just tell all the gossipy folk "jealousy is really unattractive on you!"
hehe xx

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
Awww hun, I really feel for you! That was really pants of him to be talking about it to friends!!
But as the girls have already said, the cat is out of the bag!
So now its all down to how you handle it over the next few weeks. Personally I would hold my head high and deal with it face on, you've done nothing wrong and nothing that millions of girls havent done before and millions of girls will carry on doing!
We ALL have things that we dont like about ourselves, even those that will deny it! And lots of girls would LOVE to have new boobs but cant for what ever reason.
So you go out there with your new puppies and be proud hun!!
xxxx

Re: My Partner has a big mouth
Hi Yayforboobs, I understand how you feel. I would also be fuming, especially coming from my bf. Did he have nothing better to talk about with his friends?!?! On the other hand I might be slightly more severe with punishments then you hehehe. Hmmm let's see...
First of all, he wouldn't be allowed to look at them let alone touch them! When it comes to his friends I would play his game. I like lollys idea about tellling them that he had a penis enlargement (but you don't want the females to stare and fantasize about your bf). So instead I would tell them that you're getting engaged and you'll see him panic. Depends how angry you are... you may start allowing his male friends to have a 'feel' while he's on punishment lol. That would kill him!
