Ironing... Empty Ironing...

Post by tASHABASHA_1986 10th September 2011, 9:39 pm

I miss my ironing, i love ironing as i find it so relaxing and i have to ironing everything from my little girls socks to bed linen. I cant stand the washing being done and knowing i cant iron anything. The hubby said hell do it, but they dont iron as good us. I hate non ironing clothes, they have to ironed with perfection.

Do any of you know when i can start ironing again? x

My ps told me 2 weeks for gentle housework but he didn't mention ironing, I must ask him as I love to be in perfectly ironed clothes!

This thead made me smile ( not the bits about ladies overdoing it and being in pain) but the discussion of ironing vs hoovering ! Maybe we should do a survey of what we miss when healing :heehee:

I am a hoovergirl through and through but did get bit worried when i started to think how nice my teatowels looked ironed ! I hate ironing and am rubbish at it!

Wenna xx

Ps my nurse said no ironing for 6 weeks ( shame ! Hysterical )

Floordrobe Ironing... 557141 mine gets like that but it does only ever last a day because i cant bear looking at the mess...I much prefer hoovering over ironing, but one thing i cannot stand doing is washing dishes, and thats the thing i seem to do most of all, such a bugbear!

Im a hoovering addict move all furniture daily and wash floors pretty much do the whole house. When you say don't do it for six weeks is it because you could do damage or because it causes pain. To be honest I'd put up with whatever pain it caused it couldn't be worse than sitting in a dirty house or watching my husband do it badly. I wish I was married to a compulsive cleaner lol

Shell025- they advise you because it could cause complications which would make any after care null and void and also your new assets could be damaged. We all have our routines which is a nightmare to try and stop but its all worth it in the end.

hi tashabasha 1986. ive started to do bits of ironing. i just do a few pieces at a time. tbf i do nearly everything i was before apart from the hoovering as its too heavy. if u feel u can and u feel strong enough, i cant see a problem with it personally.

I HATE ironing and only do it when i HAVE to. I do however have an obsession with a spotless kitchen (cant bear things on the worktops) and constantly sweep my floors and hoover my rug! lol . I know it will drive me a little insane not being able to do these things but my family know wot im like so have said they will help out (between my partner and 2 eldest children they should be able to cope... I hope...ARRRGGHHH!!) I will just have to close my eyes to it all and go and sit round my mum and dads as soon as poss to rest so i dont see it (how long will it be b4 i can go out?) xxx

HI there... I only stayed in the house for one day... after that I went to the stables every day for fresh air and from day 3 I was going for walks every day. Going to the super market and generally pottering in the house. As long as you don't overdo it I would get out the house when you can as long as someone is with you. I am doing ever!ything in the house now except Hoovering and reaching into the top cupboards. Moving about is supposed to be good to help the swelling and reduce risk of clotting. Not quite ready for riding on horse yet though! Lol
