hi tizzyt!

You are not alone feeling like this they are 'opiate' based and can make you feel dopey and nauseous. Most girls including myself either stopped taking them, or replaced with paracetamol and ibroprofen, you can alternate them.

Are you eating fresh fruit, veg and drinking lots of water? they can also make you feel sluggish and cause constipation and bloating. Ah the joys of boobs Flash

Hope you feel better soon. Take Care Hug xx

Mia's advice is spot on. Give the Co-drydramol a miss and use paracetamol/ibruprofen in intead - much better.

.x. hi, i stopped taking mine after about 2/3days because they made me so sleepy and sick. Think it was also the antibiotics that made me feel so nauseous. Try not to take the painkillers unless you really really need them, use an alternative instead like nads suggested :-) hope you feel better soon xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I've just made a post on another thread about codeine based pain killers sometimes having less than pleasant side effects.

The other girls have given you good advice. Make sure you drink plenty of water too, to flush all the nasty toxins out of your system.

Stay safe and rest well.

hiya hunny, this is quite common with the strong painkillers, they made me feel the same and also gave me a headache funny enough.
i switched to plain old paracetamol and felt much better, also with the strong meds they cause terrible constipation.

Yeah, I've stopped taking mine today too. I wasn't feeling sick, but I was really out-of-it, finding it hard to construct sentences and fully understand what people were saying to me Screwy

Feeling MUCH better today just taking the paracetamol. They seem to give just as much pain relief without all the horrible side effects.

Sorry you're not feeling too good. Can't help with the tablets as I love co-codamol. Think their amazing. I take them before I get on a plane with my sickness tablets. Totally spaced out then. My god I sound like a druggy.

Defo try paracetamol as often as you can to keep topping yourself up to reduce your pain

Try not to take the codeine on an empty stomach, always try to have at least a dry biscuit with it as they irritate the stomach hence the sick feeling. I had to take them for migraines and as long as I had something to eat I was ok.
