really sore after stitches taken out :(
Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I had my stitches out on wednesday (I was exactly 2 weeks post-op) and the nurse said I was healing really well and the stitches looked great.
I've been recovering really well until now. The actual stitches taken out didn't hurt a bit and my boobs didn't hurt too much on wednesday. But last night my breasts have been soo sensitive and sore, couldn't get to sleep at all. I just feel really sick with it for some reason :( did anyone else get this after them being removed? I was thinking of massaging the incisions with bio oil or a moisturizer but i'm thinking 2 weeks post op may be too early? xxx

hiya hon, sorry to hear your experiencing discomfort... my partner studied medicine and advised me if the wound is slightly open to not use bio oil as it may cause infection. ask your surgeon hon, it seems strange it hurts now? bizarre

Im not in your position yet but i would ask your ps about the oil as i think your still quite early on so doesnt sound soon enough to rub anything over them.

Thanks BKOZ :) the wound seems fully healed to me, it just feels like a scratch from a cat or something? haha. But I think i'll give it another few weeks until I put something on it. I think it might hurt because the plaster/bandage things are off and the band of the bra is resting on it? that's all I can think of, might call my surgeon later. Your boobies look fantastic btw! Even in the lovely bra ;) can't wait to get mine off! haha. xxx

Thanks hun! I wasn't quite sure on when, so i'll def leave it at least 2 weeks. :) Mine are dissolvable too but I had to have the ends with knots took out or something? xxx

i would try not worry becasuse it could be a sign that your scars r healing, they can get tender as the skin repairs itself. It it becomes really painfull though, a call to the clinic would be a good idea. xx

It won't be because you had your stitches removed. It will be from them healing. Next stage is the itchy scars stage lol.

Just watch for redness, warmth, that spreads - I've read some posts here that could be an indication of Mastitis (spelling?) which can happen anytime and quickly cleared up with a course of antibiotics!!
I'm not looking forward to the itchy scar stage, ugh, I still have the jolts of nerve regeneration - yow!!
