No bra time - how long?
Hi girls,
Silly question. I'm 2 weeks post op and I wondered how long can you sit without a bra on? The reason I ask is I just got out the bath and I spent the whole bath worrying about sagging LOL!
I just wanted to relax and enjoy my first proper bath since before the Op but I found myself jigging about trying to make sure they weren't pulling downwards!
So my question is how long do you girls leave the sports bra off for at a time? I wear it day and night apart from a quick shower in the morn.
Thanks chicas xx

I don't know that there is a fixed amount of time to be honest hun...? I mean - you weren't told "10 minutes bra-less a day - not more!!" were you?!
I'd say your pretty safe to just relax and enjoy your bath, and strap yourself back in tight afterwards! It's not like your doing star jumps or turning cartwheels to make them bounce and move all over the show! You're just lying back and giving yourself a wash....

I had unders and was advised NOT to wear a bra for 6 weeks so i imagine you'll be fine for an hour in your bath :) x

Re: No bra time - how long?
They do feel really heavy at first. I'm 6wks PO and they feel like part of me now. Before I never used to sleep with a bra on so having to wear a sports bra 24/7 has been a nightmare for me. Showering is fine hun, you're not doing any damage. I have been treating myself to some bra-free time for the past few days (not including times when I am in the bath) and its been great.
I know I have to look after them, but I also have to enjoy them and feel comfortable too.
