How long does bruising last? And where is it?

Hi girlies! Ok, first of all, I know everyone is different, but I'm trying to get a general sense of where the bruising will occur, when, and how long it will last??

I'm having unders (if that helps) - just curious when I will be able to show my puppies off without looking like a car crash victim. I see in all your avatars that your boobies look WONDERFUL and no bruising in sight, but I imagine there was some - is it on the breasts? on the sides? under?

Going in for mine tomorrow - trying to collect all info possible!

hi alexandra33 i didnt have any visible bruising on my boobs , i still have the plaster strips over my scars so they may be a little bruising where the scar is but not 100% sure yet ,i did take arnica tabs 5 days before surgery and 5 days after so this may be the reason for no bruising but im sure everybody has a different outcome ,good luck for tomorrow x

thx kat!! my dr prescribled Bromelain before (anti inflam) and arnica starting the night after surgery...so hopefully I will have a good result. I am having (probably) 400ccs, so hope it doesn't mean more bruising!! How long does bruising last? And where is it? 267328

Congrats on reaching the 7 week mark! How are you feeling otherwise?

thanks im feeling fine just having a few weird sensations happening from time to time and a slight bit of discomfort ,but nothing major so all good really , i hope you have a really good experience and arent to nervouse wishing you all the best x

I had no bruising at all. But I wouldn't have wanted to show mine off properly naked until about 8 months post op when they had fully dropped and healed

thanks misf - I'm sure it will be a while until they look good naked - can I also ask you - when did you stop wearing sports bras? My PS says I can wear any bra not underwire as soon as I want....but when was that comfortable for you?

My surgeon recommended that I took arnica before my surgery but I still had a little bruising, it was just under my left breast at the top of my ribs. It wasn't too bad though and was yellowy/purple, nothin I was worried about xx

6 weeks I had to wear a sports bra. Underwire I had to get used to again. Which took a few weeks wearing it an hour a day and building up gradually.

Yea Nyssa, my PS prescribed arnica as well - hopefully I will have similar good luck with it!

Hi hun,

I didn't have any visable bruising whilst my dressings were on, but when they came off, I had a bit round the sides of the breasts where my drains had been. I also had some bruising around where the incisions are.

It felt bruised more than it was.

Hey,
I had really bad bruising, I was black and blue all over my boob....but I think thats because I had a doughnut uplift too...I'm almost two months post op and still have a yellowish bit of the bruise left on my right boob. It was ok for me to wear low tops though because it didn't come up that high xxx

My PS has had me taking the Bromelain (3x per day) but advised not to start arnica nitil tonight (after my surgery)

i have been and still taking arnica but i have bruising, none on my boobs just around them lol
