4th day post op.... a few questions :)
Hi everyone :) I had my ba 4 days ago, was wondering if you could help me.
I have had 435cc under on the left & 260cc over on the right and I have seemed to gain 10 pounds!! Is this normal? Will I lose some of this weight?! It seems rather a lot haha.
Also, how does everyone go about washing their hair? Even though I have waterproof bandages i'm a little worried about the shampoo/conditioner leaking into the incisions, i'm just using a mild dermalogica shower gel at the moment but my hair is feeling icky! I really want to wash it today otherwise i'm gonna have to wait 'til I can get to a salon tomorrow, does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this easily?
Does anyone have a really sore back and arms from this? I literally have no strength and my back is killing me! What is the most comfortable way to sleep? It's reallly hard to get myself out of bed as my arms and back hurt so much.
Thanks for any help! xxx

Yes Sarah, it's absolutely normal to gain weight early post-op so gont worry, It's due to the general anaesthetic and the effcts that has on you such as being constipated. you do however need to be careful now what you eat and althoughh you're instructed no excercise, you can however walk, the walking will make you feel so good too, getting some fresh air, straightening your posture and taking your self away from sitting down and eating sweets, cakes and chocolate, you soon get back to your pre-op weight

I just leaned over the bath and my daughter showered my hair and washed it for me for me as I was unable to raise my arms, when she'd finished I felt soooooo wonderful.

Yes, everything you're experiencing at 4 days post-op is absolutely normal, at 4 days post-op, you're still very early so should still be elevated to help the swelling subside, I made a kind of pillow castle to get my comfort from through that time babe, I had my V-Pillows and a whole bunch of other pillows, I'd have one pillow at the top one under each arm and another one under my knees to support me, I'd put a hot water bottles where the small of my back will be then the V-pillow over that, pulling the V-Pillow round on top to cuddle me, so I eas all set to sleep.
The pain in your arms could be a trapped nerve, lots of us have this and it bets better as the swelling goes releasing the nerve and easing the pain. xx
