A little bit of a different story...
Hi all,
I'm new here and am booked to have my BA on August 25th. However my story is a little bit different to most peoples'...I have been diagnosed with hypoplasia (basically my boobs never developed, not even a little bit - I have a body like a boy and I'm 30) and as a result I am having my BA on the NHS at a hospital rather than with a private surgeon.
I've had a consultation and really liked and trusted my surgeon. She showed me a couple of different sized implants - I think one was 250cc and one 300cc. I will be having unders rather than overs and round rather than teardrop shaped implants. I was worried about it being obvious that I've had a BA (I really don't want it to be noticeable) but she encouraged me to go for the 300cc, saying I would be able to carry it off at my height and size - I am 5'7" and a size 10, fairly slim - and that most girls she treats end up wishing they'd gone slightly bigger due to the implants settling etc. I currently wear massively padded bras in a size 36A but have no idea what size I actually look, though I do know nobody ever guesses I don't have any boobs as I've got so good at disguising it!
Anyway I guess I'm just looking for some reassurance and advice regarding the size - I'm hoping to be no bigger than a C cup post-op, does anyone know what I'm likely to be with 300cc implants considering I have absolutely nothing there to start with? I know my case is slightly unusual and that everyone's different so nobody can say for sure how I'll look but any advice from people with similar stats etc would be great. Sorry for the essay - I only found out the date of my op on Friday and have gone into panic mode, although I'm very excited to finally be getting boobs!!
Thanks all xxx

HI there... not sure if this helps but I am current a 36a and planned to late 340 which 3 surgeons agree would take me to a d... so 300 should sound about right for a c but I am sure other girls on here that are post ba could help more x

Hey lovely, your not alone here in having your surgery through the NHS, we have plenty of women who have been through the same sweetie so you're not alone.
Congratulations for getting your surgery approved lovely, it getting harder and harder to be accepted now so I'm very happy for you lovely, this will be life changing! xx

Thank you both - this forum seems really friendly and I already feel a bit less panicky, reading through all the stuff Google throws up can make things worse sometimes! xx

Re: A little bit of a different story...
rachemsi I had a read of your BA diary, it was really helpful to me - thank you (although the part about the pain freaked me out but it's good that you were honest about it!) Had my pre-op assessment yesterday and the nurses were all lovely and really reassured me. I'm still petrified but feel like I will be in good hands. Hated having my pictures taken though :(
I just wanted to add as well that my referral was rejected first time round but I appealed via my GP and they accepted me then. It is a long process and a struggle mentally (showing my doctor my totally flat chest was a horrid experience) but I'm glad I persevered. I really hope those of you on the waiting lists or trying to make the first steps to get the op done on the NHS get there - good luck to you all. I will keep you posted on how I get on and thank you all again for being supportive and lovely xx
