lumpy booby
Hi girls, i've not been here a long time but have discovered a problem with my leftie
I was laid in bed one night and had a little pain in my left boob, in the cleavage area. I felt a little bump that of course freaked me out. I sat up and it disappeared, but after feeling around a little i felt it again under my boob.
this was about a week ago and since then been checking a few times a day to see if theres any change, but the only thing that seems to be happening is that it is a little more painful every day, not where the lump is, but my whole boob. When i touch the lump it disappears for a few seconds.
It almost feels like its a ripple, as when i feel the boob from the cleavage and all the way down it feels like a ripple, but wouldn't that normally show on the outside?
Also, i haven't been doing anything that could cause a rupture, nothing more than my job which is in a bank, no heavy lifting...
normally i would of course contact my surgeon but he is in another country.. would a GP look into this at all i.e. get me an ultrasound or some scan to see if there is a rupture?
thanks girlies! xx

Re: lumpy booby
You don'thave to do anything crazy to rupture youe implant hunni, my rupture was called a 'spontaneous rupture' meaning there was no direct cause for the rupture to have occured'
Your GP can help lovely, Just go and explain your symptoms, you 'should' be offered a scan to see what's going on, this will also detect a rupture should this be the cause of your problems, I'm not saying it is, but when lymph nodes appear and they aren't going away, or you aren't sickening for something they should always be checked out, had you seen your surgeon about this you'd be charged for the scan, with your GP, it's free. xx

Re: lumpy booby
you poor thing. such a worry isnt it. im worried my left has ruptured too and i pick up my 2 1/2 year old twin girls a lot so i do a lot more heavy lifting than you. Ive only just joined this forum and cookie is fab at advice. i went to my gp and theyve referred me for an ultrasound at my local breast clinic so im just waiting for an appointment. i have had a couple of ultrasounds since my implants in may of last year because my left implant has never been right (sometimes uncomfortable) but they look fab. both times they informed me they hadnt ruptured but somebody went into my car a couple of weeks ago and i was driving, they werent going fast and i was stationary but you never know. a friend of mine had lumps appearing on her breast after having implants and went to the breast clinic because she was worried about cancer but apparently she said they were just spontaneous lumps and nothing to worry about so fingers crossed, definately go to your gp xxx

I am definately going to see my GP to see what she says, I will be going "home" for xmas so can talk to my surgeon before then and possibly book a reop if needed.

Really hope you don't need a re-op Drofty and it's something that can be cleared up. xxx

I have this too and I am so worried! Same place and everything. Went to gp and have to book my ultrasound, it sort of bounces back out after touching it..! Does anybody know what happens if you leave it? It's getting painful and I don't want it to get worse :(
