Romanica, that is the most horrid thing anyone could have done!



I know this personality type - they do things to get a reaction. They are nice, they are mean, they are bitchy and then they are indifferent all to try and manipulate you into playing their game.



I say with 100% confidence now that this girl is NOT your friend. She needs to take a good long look at herself because she has lost a friend out of this.



OH, and, (not that I condone this in any way but it WOULD be fun!), print off her email and show it to anyone who asks you! If they say "have you had surgery" just say - "oh, I was told you already knew?" stuff the email in their hands and walk away. See who they are talking about then! I will give you a hot hint - it wont be you! Boobies are exciting to talk about but having a physical email of someone's dummy spit takes the cake.



OH the things we could do if we were actually mean people.

PS - stay silent and don't say ANYTHING to her. When she finally aprroaches you just say something like, "can you excuse me please? I have to go and keep 'having my good life'"

If I was you and someone asked something about your boobs I'd ask them something really personal about their private parts! the more descriptive and gross the better, then when they say 'I'm not answering that' then say me too and walk away. Head and chest held high!! Ha ha! I work mostly with guys though and have a filthy sense of humour!

Your friend sounds horrible, it's awful how we can judge people so wrong! I wouldn't even both replying to her email, it sounds like she's trying to get a reaction out of you! Hope work goes well tomorrow! Just remember the less bothered you act about, the less bothered the people you work with will be! Xx

I had a friend like this once, who thought it was ok to nick a lad Id been seeing cos she was prettier, skinner and more confident than me. She managed to convince everyone that it was me who was in the wrong(!) and that i was trying to control her(!) She hardly has any friends now tho as she always manages to lose them - wonder why?!

You don't need this spiteful girl in your life.

Your friend is such a coward hun, she wrote the letter before you got to her, giving you a lashing and centering the blame entirely on you! (I'm fooling myself and that people were talking behind my back so it was a case of "game over, time to come clean) Which was was just her excusing herself.

I wouldn't rise to such a person hunni, she's no friend and you're better off without someone as viscious as that!

you certainly dont need friends like that!! maybe it was case of mistaken her for an acquaintance , we all in our life have friends and acquaintances your friends are the ones you can count on one hand (5fingers), you dont have to speak to them everyday or even wk sometimes months but when u do..there is no sorrys, just pick up where u left off, when u fight you make friends (true friend) but you no that they will always and for ever have your back!!! acquanitices on the other hand are the other friends that ask questions for their own personal gain and talk, when you fight you never make friends or if you do its never the same,that girl you talk about is malicious!! I learned dearly in another situation and it made me realise this.....
you can learn from this... you sound like a lovely person while the other girl............ is the way she is..

You're completely right in feeling that she has denied you the right to tell a little white lie if you want to!! It's never a case of "Game over, time to come clean" when you're discussing someone else's business!!! Because... IT'S NOT YOUR BUSINESS!! Even assuming people were asking her directly if you had had it done, all she had to say is "It's none of my business - if you're that curious, you'll have to ask her yourself" - and as most people aren't that rude - they wouldn't, and you could have continued on, leaving them to wonder all they like.

You're better off without friends like that. And what goes around comes around - so she'll get hers soon enough!!

Work was okay. My confidence has grown from all the feedback I have received and I was ready for anyone that approached. I only actually saw one person who knows for sure and he was a complete Gentleman and said nothing. I'll see the rest over the next few days but I know now it'll be okay, I'm now able to deal with anyone who says anything and it'll only ever be a 15 minute wonder anyway. The support of all the Ladies on this forum has been inspirational and I am truly thankful to you all.

Cookie and BKOZ have given some great advice, hun. You're definitely better off without someone like that in your life. I've had 'friends' like this in the past and it has got me really upset because I just don't get how nasty people can be to their supposed friends. It's such a betrayal, and such a spiteful thing to do. And that email really says it all about her doesn't it? Nasty!!

It doesn't matter what other people think, if YOU don't want to talk about your boobs then that is YOUR choice and YOUR right!

Really pleased to see it went well for you on your first day back. Keep holding that chin up high and let any comments go with a smile, like water off a duck's back. They'll soon be bored and move on to something new.
