Anchor Lift Revision & Implant Exchange
Hi ladies,
You may have seen my before and after pictures. My before's looked more like how an after picture looks because the wrong implant was put in for the look I wanted to achieve.I looked wide and flat with very little projection. My natural breasts projected quite a bit before the lift.So after the BL/BA it looked as if I had smaller breasts when I had clothes on due to this.I had my re-op consultation today.
My anchor incisions are healing very well and fading nicely. But on my right horizontal incision they noticed that it wasn't flattening out like the other ones are.So they will go in and do a scar revision on about a 2" section of it so it heals flat. It's not keloid,it just didn't flatten. It wasn't very noticable but it makes me feel she is doing her best to make things right with me after what happened.I am so thrilled with my lift that I don't even care if this doesn't flatten!LOL!
We agreed that in order to get the projection to match my natural shape that I had,we will need to go with the Mentor Saline High profile in 630cc and overfill to 700/750.This will give me the following:
Diameter: 13.4cm
Projection: 7.4 cm
*My current Mod Profiles only have a 3.9cm projection*
I have tons of breast tissue and this way I should look better in clothes than I do now.She said they won't be wide and flat on me like the mods are now.And she explained that my cup size will increase slightly but not dramatically because the fill is directed forwards rather than to the sides. So even though they have more fill,it's going to be in the projection that I will notice the biggest change. They went over a chart with me explaining how once the implant is under the muscle, then layered with breast tissue, fat and skin you do loose some of the size of the implant once they are all covered up.So going to this size will be best for me.Any other implant will still look wide and flat on me.
I'm so excited to have this done!I will schedule as soon as I can get off work and have the funds to do the re-op.It's not that much (they cut the price down a little bit) but it wasn't planned for so it may be a while before I can have it done.I am keeping my fingers crossed that nothing comes up financially and I can get it taken care of ASAP.I saved for years for the first operation and I am disappointed with how I look.At one point I even worked two jobs in order to save for it.But today I'm all smiles! I feel like I can get my boobies back soon!
Thank you all for listening to my story and giving me advice these past weeks.I appreciate all of you.And you girls were so right when you said I'd have to go to a large HP to get the projection I needed!Ladies, you know your stuff!

I wish the hubby was more supportive then I could go in August 17th but he won't budge on his standing about surgery.Funny how we get together and pay for things he is interested in though....
Thank goodness you girls are here and I thank you so much!Your all so helpful, supportive and kind!

Great news your re-op consultation went well Emme-Kate and your surgeon agrees with how you feel, and most of all you'll be having your re-op. Hopefully you won't have to wait too long hun.

Re: Anchor Lift Revision & Implant Exchange
AWE!Your ladies are all so sweet! I will do it ASAP.I'm ignoring the hubby.
Jen86,we had agreed on a higher profile implant originally. It wasn't written in the contract though. My error, this time it is written on our paper work from Friday. The contract for the 1st operation stated that they are in no way responsible for the size outcome and they have the final say in what goes in during surgery. And I can see their point, they are the experienced doctors. But on the other hand the Mods were put in because in surgery the doctor felt with me being busty to begin with that the mods would give me the look and projection I wanted. But once you consider a lift was done changing my breast shape a little bit it didn't work out in my favor and they don't project as far out as my nautural ones.
I'm just eating my pride on this one and taking the new discounted amount and getting it done.I do trust the surgeon and I love the lift and lipo results.I was just mad that she chose do do this while I was under GA and didn't have a say in her change of plans because in her opinion it would look right. There were no other factors involved in her choice,I wasn't in any anger of complications. It was simply her aesthetic choice. And a bad one at that!LOL!

Re: Anchor Lift Revision & Implant Exchange
Thanks for telling me where the post is (daftie here couldn't find it!) and great to read about a positive story. You seem so uplifted by this, I can sense it in how you have written it, so its easy to get excited for you even if hubby isn't just yet. I'm sure you will work your magic soon on him to get it as soon as its practical !!
Your PS must really get it now and I bet you will get fantastic results. Wowser on size of implant, I wonder if you will go up a size or two once its in despite them saying probably not. Hard to imagine that you wouldn't with that CC ! xx

Re: Anchor Lift Revision & Implant Exchange
I bet I will go up a cup or so.But that's OK,as long as I get the projection I'll be happy.Plus implants never look as big as real breasts so I should be OK with them.I am getting really excited about it now!I'll save up and in the mean time I'll just work on my anchor scars to keep my mind off of things. They seem to be in really nice shape and still thin and getting a little lighter each week.
The surgeon said the incision lines are healed enough that they won't distort in anyway or stretch wide with the new implants.Does anyone know if this is true?
