Re: pain wen massage?
My nurse showed me how to do it, slow and easy and to start with only a few seconds at a time till you work your way up to count of 10!
She said to cup your boob fingers near nipple and start with 2-3 seconds, and just give a little pressure your just keeping the pocket open!! and preventing C.C.

Re: pain wen massage?
Have you been told to massage? if not you shouldn't be doing it. If you have you should follow your PS's instructions on how to massage and as lookoutgirl has said, do a little at a time and work your way up.

Re: pain wen massage?
Hi barbicon,
The short answer is YES it hurts a bit at first! I'm almost 3 weeks post op, and it is much more comfortable to massage now than before, so keep doing it..the tenderness will get less and less!
