Surgeon has told me to buy a 34C sports bra
Hiya girls,
From what I've read on here, you can never really tell how big a cupsize you'll be until you've dropped and fluffed, so how can my surgeon have been so specific about what size of sports bra to buy for healing?
I did mention to him that I'd like to try and be a D, and he said he'd see what he could do, although I have very little breast tissue.
Also, if I am buying a C cup bra which takes account of swelling am I going to end up a B cup, or will I be more like a D bursting out of a C?
I don't want to pay and end up with boobies that are too small. I'm 5'11" tall with a 32.5" chest and so I understand that a C would look bigger on me than a C on someone shorter, but I want to have an ample sized bust if I can. ( A big handful at least, LOL!)
My boobs have always been saggy and a rubbish shape from being a teenager. They were slightly tuberous too and so I really have no clue whether a C cup will give me that sexier, more shapely look that I've been after all my life.
Hoping you can help,
MF x x x

Thanks for the replies girlies.
Cindy - I feel like I don't know what to do either. I certainly don't want to be less than a C, not when I'm spending over 9 grand on surgery.
Aria Angie (great name by the way, I studied opera for my degree) - we didn't discuss implant size, but I'm having teardrop partials.

I would assume if you are for example normally wearing a 32 band, your surgeon means the next band size up, meaning a 34C, but after sswelling has gone you can then go down to a 32D. As you are having anatomical implants he may want you to wear a C so it will be tight and compress your new boobs so they cant move. This would may be so that the implants adhere to the pocket and lessen any risk of rotation. But I am not a surgeon, it's just my opinion

miss flump - over 9 grand on your surgery?? Who are you going with? And are you having a lift and implants?
I was initially quoted £9550 for lollipop lift and 520cc implants done as separate ops, but have managed to haggle them down to £6980!

misf1 - Thanks for your thoughts. It may well be that he has recommended a tight bra initially to help my anatomicals adhere to the pocket. Hadn't thought about that. Just hope I remain a C cup or more afterwards. Will make sure I mention this to him on the morning of my surgery.
Rach26 - I'm having a tummy tuck, BA and lift and am paying £9,475. I think I got about 40% reduction as I'm having them done at the same time.

Rach26- Thanks! Will let you know how it all goes and whether I'm happy with my tum afterwards.
Aria Angie - I studied at RNCM as an undergraduate, but didn't pursue singing as a career afterwards. Where did you study?

Re: Surgeon has told me to buy a 34C sports bra
At the time, I didn't have the money to stay on for Post-grad and my voice was going through quite a few changes. I was about 19 stone and had a massive dramatic voice that was years away from auditioning etc, so I didn't carry on.
I auditioned for postgrad again about a year ago, having lost 9 stone through gastric band surgery, and didn't get offered a place, but my teacher said she thought I should just start auditioning.
However, I gave it some thought and I'm happy in my work and don't like the uncertainty of a singing career. I prefer a guaranteed monthly salary these days.
I do the occasional bit of performing now and again, but it's not as important as it once was to me.
Good luck with whatever you choose to do! You should audition just to get an opinion, but keep your eye out for the smaller companies and audition with them. They're not interested in whether you've been to college or not, they're all about the voice and whether you're suitable for a role.

Thanks, Angie! And good luck with your application to Oxford!! You're a brave lady!
We will have to keep in touch on here and find out how each other is after our surgeries.
