when do you get told what size sports bra to take?

did you get told what size to get at your pre surgery appointment?

I was told by my surgeon, then at my pre op appointment the nurse told me to get a size larger than the size i am now (which i think is completely wrong)..iv went with the size my surgeon originally said, and iv bought a cheap one from asda only £4. going to wait til after surgery to see what size i will need then go buy the shock absorber ones if i need them! cos they are quite expensive!!! the sports bra i bought from asda is the same one i tried on when i saw my surgeon and was trying out silcone sizes!

My PS provided mine and its a soft bar that hooks in the front with like 6 eyelets so I know that its not a A B or C cup LOLI could even wear it with a black top not bad looking at all

i think im gunna get a cheap 32D and take that better to big that too tight surely???? then if its too big i can get a smaller one altho hoping it will fit perfect x

i was told i would be perhaps a 34dd/e so i got a 36 e (36 for swelling) and im a 34ff :) xx

i guessed the whole point was that they wanted it tight to hold you in place???

If it's too tight will it affect the fluffing x

if its too tight they wont fluff?? oh no, im total boob greed head at the moment and want bigger!! hope i can get a little bigger, do overs fluff though???

I recommend buying a couple in different sizes just in case, keep the tags on and return the ones you dont use. You may want to consider one with a bigger band so that you are comfortable with the swelling.

I dont think that a bra too tight would affect the fluffing, because if it was that much too tight it would be far to uncomfortable to wear, also a lot of us do more fluffing after we are out of the sports/post op bra.

Either that or get a macom which you get in your back size and it stretches for all cup sizes. I've got one cos I'm having lift and implants separately so saves me buying tons of diff size bras!!

They're £35 but you can get 15% off at the mo by quoting mybreast

I asked what size to take and they told me a DD and an E, I also already had a 34D shock absorber so bought a 32DD & 32E from M&S which they recommended. They put the 34D on me after surgery and I've pretty much wore that one since. I'm normally a 32 but have found this a bit tight, the 32E fits so i took the DD back for a refund. I asked the nurse how important it was to buy the one's recommended and she said as long as it's got really good support and not a cheap £1 one from Primark any is fine xx
