Weight of implants
So...... now I'm desperately looking for reasons why I've put on 4lb since my surgery & I'm taking the easy option & blaming it on the implants :suspect:
How much do you reacon a 1000cc's of silicone would weigh?
It takes me a week to lose half a flippin pound

Re: Weight of implants
Wishfull thinking missellie!!! think the meds must be in your system still...where did you get 1000cc from?
Did you get bigger than you planned?
Joking aside, the implants will def add some weight. However, it takes about 10 days to rid your body of the G.A. and then you also have the effects i.e. bloating constipation and lack of activity to deal with. All takes it toll on the body.
So, you are one week post op ...think you are going ahead of yourself. You will be back to normal soon. Take it easy....plenty water.

Re: Weight of implants
Hiya, was asking well informed husband if 1000ml of rice would weigh the same as cc but he said not. Made me laff reading Mia's - she might think you had a 1000 in each side as she may have forgotten you had 480s or something didn't yo - OH said that if you put in a few link words on google something may come up for you on that. I am a bit constipated but not had to take anything for it - stiff coffe is enough ! but i didn't realise the GA hung around in your body for 10 days though. Your implants are probably responsible for a good 1lb or so ?! If you put on weight suddenly it is usually the easiest to loose quickly ... its the weight that creeps on slowly that is the bugger to get rid of. You'll be fine. X

Density of implants
The density is about the same as water, maybe slightly higher, so 1000 cc would be 1 kg or 2.2 lb. It could be up to 1.3 kg or 2.9 lb for denser types of silicone. Hope this helps

Re: Weight of implants
Just eaten a bag of dried apricots, which usually do the trick, and have 2 litres of water at the ready for steady sipping thoughout the day.

Re: Weight of implants
my mechanical engineer best friend who is obsessed with numbers etc took it upon himself to calculate that with the precise density of silicone (usually considered to be 1.29 grams per CC I'm told!) the weight of my new boobs (230ccs implants so 460ccs overall) is 593.3grams / 1.30800 lb. that should give you a good idea of how much yours weigh :-) its just your number of CCs X 1.29 to get weight in grams. :) I was quite suprised at how little mine weigh. xxxxx
