My first check up !
Hey flabby friends !
Today I had my first check up (yeahy) they removed my dressings and cleaned me up etc, the nurse said they are healing really good and I should be pleased , so now I have steri strips for a week or 2 for support on the scars, I know I can shower with them on an I change them after but I wondered if it's ok if I sweat now , I plan on gentle walking maybe gentle X-trainer just to keep myself active as long as I don't do too much movement is it ok to sweat a bit ? Also could I go in a swimming pool ? Does anyone know ?
Any advice Girls , thank u ? Xxxx x

Re: My first check up !
yeah u can sweat - i went on a hiking holiday 9 days after my BA, went for a week and was hiking in big heat every day, sweated EVERYWHERE. I just made sure i washed everywhere and dried the tape on my scars with a hairdryer each night. My scars are barely visibly already, I can't believe it!

Re: My first check up !
yeah for some reason you can't swim for a while after, though i wasn't told 6 weeks, but 3... not sure why... maybe the buoyancy stretching the scars, lol, or infection risk? who knows. I hate swimming anyway :P

Ah that's good to know ! Why don't they tell u this stuff ? I was planning on a gentle swim in the monings -- not any more ! Lol !
Glad I'm fine to sweat tho ! I need to be at the gym even if it's just lightly - more of a psychological thing !
Thanks girls ! Xzz
