Different sized boobs....? help!!
So, i'm booked in for a Ba in 5 weeks but only having my consultation an hour before so i'm pretty scared! One of my boobs is tiny (probably an A cup) and the other is really massive (spills out of a C-cup bra, so a large C/ small D) talking with my surgeon on the phone he recommends I have implants in both breasts as the shape will be different. But i'm only 4'11 so i'm getting really worried about what i'm going to look like. :( Does anyone have any advice? I have gone into this a little naively and don't even know much about boob jobs, but i'm just desperate for them to be the same size. xx

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
'Hi sarah and welcome to the forum.
Firstly, it is important to do a lot of research to feel 100% comfortable, and to be able to put all your trust in your surgeon. Surgery is always a risk and before going through with it you need to be fully informed. I hope I don't sound too condescending but I feel it needs to be said first and foremost.
I has asymmetry too, a C and DD, and I'm still recovering but the sizes are looking so much more equal. I think the most important to remember is that the surgery can help a great deal but it is unlikely to correct the problem so they are 100%. It is always likely there will be some difference.
What exactly are you worried about? If you have a few more specific questions they might help us to give you better answers.
Is it that you'll end up too big? Worried about your surgeon?
They forum is amazing and so many lovely ladies are always willing to help out so fire away with any questions and I'm sure we'll do our best in giving you some advice.
xx

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
Hi nix :) thanks for replying.
Yeah I totally agree with what you are saying, so before I booked I researched my surgeon and heard great things from unbiased websites, so i'm pretty confident in the actual surgeon. I'm just a little uneasy about having the consultation just before surgery.
Oh that's great that yours are looking more equal! :) At the moment i'm wearing C-cup bras and there is a lot of space in one cup and my other breast is spilling out, so I can't wear anything nice. :( To be honest I thought this would completely sort out the problem, but i'm sure it'd improve it quite significantly even if there was still a difference.
But yeah I did just jump in very quickly, it's just this problem has such an impact on my life, I never go out clubbing anymore because I can't wear anything nice, i've never had a proper relationship and I never go to places like the beach/pool because I hate the way they look in a bikini :( so i'm prepared to take the risks involved as i'm really feeling pretty low about them. Sorry i'm just going off one one. haha.
But i'm most worried about how big i'm going to be after surgery. I'm really quite petite so I just don't know what to expect. Do you think I should just have one implant done so they match in size but not shape? Or have both done, but that'll mean i'll be slightly bigger? Sorry if this doesn't make much sense - i'm so tired! xxx

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
I worry about how big I'm gonna be after my BA too...mostly that I'll be disappointed about being too small! haha
But, in my opinion, I would get implants in both, just so that they match as closely as possible. You don't wanna end up still being self-concious about them even after surgery!
You'll be more confident then ever walkin' down the beach :)
But in the end, its your decision to make! Good luck on whatever you decide to do girly!

Hello Sarah90!
I'm a little concerned that you have only spoken to the surgeon on the phone and that all the decisions for your surgery will be made just an hour prior to the actual implant.I would suggest going on a few consulatations and getting several opinions on a surgery plan that will help you.Web searches for a good surgeon are only a starting point in your research. Please be careful and don't rush into this without a little more planning.
I don't mean to scare you in anyway.I just want you to know all of your options and feel more in control of what they plan on doing to you.

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
I'm not familiar with Belgium and how they rate the doctors there. In the USA we have boards that they have to qualify for by testing on a regular basis. You can even search online and see what standing the doctors have at any given time. Can you give us his website?Maybe we can find his records online.
I'm not saying your making a mistake.I just want you to be safe sweetie.Do you know anyone that has used this surgeon or were you just going by the reviews posted online in chats like this forum?

Hi Sarah
You really need to see him a few weeks before the op, especially if you have asymmetry. He will need to assess you and what's going to get you the best match.
Have you paid a lot upfront?
I was an a and c cup before so very similar to you. The right surgeon can make them so much better:)

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
Hi Sarah, I personally wouldn't be happy having had a consultation just before my op. I went back to the clinic three times before I decided what I was actually happy with (I was given the choice of 3 different sized implants) and ended up changing from the original consultant I was booked in with. I think you need to see your surgeon and discuss what results you are hoping to end up with and then listen to his advice and think about it before you finally decide what size implants to go with - also it gives the surgeon an opportunity to see you and your breasts which will assist in the decisions.
I don't want to worry you, I'm just being honest about my experience. I am so pleased with the results of my surgery and have got exactly what I wanted, but it was by considering what my options were and thinking about them before committing to anything.

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
Thanks for the advice everyone, but i'm really not in the position to have a consultation a few weeks before. :( Do you think i'm making a really big mistake? As going abroad for this is the only way I can afford it. I'm getting really really scared about it now, I just don't know what to do, but having these boobs is reaally affecting my life, so maybe it's worth the risk? xx

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
I would add up the total cost of the plane fair, hotel, aftercare and surgery. Is it a lot less then what it would cost you to have the surgery in your own country once eveything is figured into it?Also consider complications. If you have them, how easy would it be for you to go back to have things sorted out?
It's a big decision for you. Please don't make money the deciding factor. If you need to save for a while longer it may be worth the wait.

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
There are girls that are very happy with their surgery abroad and there are others who have horror stories including one of our members here and I dont want to scare you I really dont, but I think it's best that you know the risks before you make your decision. You can read her full story here: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
I think you should research everything before you part with any money or undertake major surgery hun, there are risks with any surgery but you wouldn't want to take any unecessary risks hun. The people who are happy with their BA's abroad have researched everything.

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
the girls have pretty much said what i would have. Dont worry hun, come here just keep messaging on here about your worries and concerns and we will do our best to answer questions and make sure your making the right decision. Nothing is saying that your surgeon wont be as good as a UK surgeon etc or that you will develop any problems, bu everything is a possibility and it would be easier if your surgeon wasnt a plane ride away. do u mind me asking the total cost of your surgery?? and then the extras like plane and hotel??
Good luck gorgeous xxx

Hi Jen :) thankyou for the message, cheered me up loads! haha. The surgery is £2250 and my travel & hotel is about £500.. so with everything else (petrol etc) it's about £3000 which has got to be at least half the price of the UK? I'm only 20 and don't earn a lot of money, so the bank wouldn't give me a loan and my parents wouldn't help me out, so belgium is pretty much my only option and i've payed out £1500 in deposits, hotels etc which I can't get back.
I was so reckless when I booked this, I just got so fed up of not going out with my friends & to the beach, so I just booked and payed for the deposit without thinking or telling anyone, I never even thought about the aftercare which is a worry.
I would be sooo much happier getting it done in the UK, but I just can't afford it & my boob situation is seriously turning me into a recluse. I probably could of got this done on the NHS if they knew how much it affects me, but i'd just feel really guilty being on the waiting list, when people who need it more should be on it. I think i'm just gonna make sure in the consulation that he knows I want them to look really natural and not too big for my figure, hopefully everything will turn out okay? xxx

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
Hi Sarah
If you're set on your certain the best thing you can do now is make sure he has as much information as possible, and also that you know what you want to say when you see him.
It wouldnt do you any harm to go for a free consultation with a surgeon in the uk, even if you have no intention of going with them. Its only from a consultation with a surgeon you work out what you need to consider and ask for, and what questions to ask.
I'd also really recommend sending your surgeon some photos in advance, so that he has a better idea of what your breasts are like now. You could always take them yourself looking in the mirror.
The surgeons I saw all recommended a small implant in my bigger side too, because breasts with implants behave and feel different from boobs without, so hopefully it will mean you get a better match.
Can I ask whether your nipples are the same? If not you might need to speak to the surgeon about this in advance, to see if he can do anything about that. If one boob is bigger, is that nipple lower, or bigger at all? (I don't know if your surgery price includes anything to do with that, or just the implants).
Best of luck x

Re: Different sized boobs....? help!!
Thanks stacey :) xx
bigandsmall-
That's a really good idea about the photos! I would really like to have a consultation but the nearest place is probably 3-4 hours away so I doubt I can now. :( But yeah I could send him some photos! :)
Yeah I can imagine the implanted breast would be a lot different. To be honest i'm not that bothered if they still look quite different, I just want them to be of similar size so I can wear nice structured dresses without my boob or chicken fillets falling out haha!
From what I can see my nipples look the same size, the bigger one does look slightly lower, (as my smaller boob is really perky haha, it's soo tiny though) but I think i'll just have to live with it as I very much doubt it'd be included with my surgery.
Thanks for the great advice, I hope yours goes really well! xx
