Quick question :)
Hey guys, I've found out today that the funding has been approved by my local PCT. The next step is to meet with a surgeon. I was just wondering before I got too excited whether the surgeon can refuse do an op? or is the decision already final once the PCT agreed to fund? i've seen two GP's that have both agreed that i should be put forward just from looking at my breasts. however the PCT havent asked for any pictures, just the sizings. each breast has not been measured by a GP either. im slightly worried that the surgeon could turn around and say no after ive got my hopes up. thanks for your help x

I don't want to get your hopes up hun, because I dont really know. But I would have thought if you are going to see a surgeon, then he/she is just going to tell you what they are going to do for you and discuss things. Whether or not he has to tell the PCT what he wants to do and they agree or not I really dont know.

Yeah I origionally thought that too, just starting to worry! My GP made quite a big deal about me getting the funding aswell. Thankyou for your help :) x

Re: Quick question :)
As lon as funding is approved then the surgeon will most likely do the operation.
But just a warning some surgeons will only do what the funding is for (even them up/lift) and will probably not let you get carried away with the sizing !
:)
Good luck x

Hey hope this can help!
I got approved for funding at the start of May, this was after being refered by my GP and a plastic surgeon! The next step I had was to meet with the surgeon, I was pretty confident he wouldn't say no, as i had already been sent to him. The surgeon discusses options etc. I don't know if they can refuse the op, but its unlikely! However don't worry about pictures, as I only got this done when i saw the actual surgeon who is perfoming the op!
Hope this helps :) x
