Will i fluff?
hey girls,
i'm 6 days post op today and i'm feeling a little bit low (tring not to cry), I was a small 34b before my op and had 360cc, high profile overs.
i'm in a 34DD sportsbra but my boobs just dont look that big at all :(
will i fluff with overs? and if so at what stage do you usually fluff
ps - i also have my first check up tonight x

Hey hun sounds like you may have a touch of the boobie blues... its a very normal part of the recovery for some of us to feel down and out after the op... as for your size hun, please dont judge your boobies just yet... it is way to early to know how they will look... you have just had a big op and they need time to recover before you will see their full potential... and dont go by the size of your sportsbra, they dont fit or measure like regular bras. I too was upset about the size of my boobs the first few weeks but now I love them, so be patient and keep you chin up! x

Re: Will i fluff?
I agree with Sarah babe, it really does sound like the Boobie Blues this will settle lovely so don't worry, it's completely normal.
As for fluffing, most women will fluff hun, you can see from this diagram what happens as the breasts fall into position -
At just 6 days post-op you've VERY early in your recovery hun, just relax and give your body and breasts time to heal from the surgery you just had. You've many of changes ahead lovely and it can take weeks or even months to fluff, I was 10 weeks post-op sweetie, so as you can see it's quite possible you have a long wait ahead and it's really not something at 6 days post-op you should be getting upset over.
Your lovely boobs will come in 'time' sweetie... you just have to be patient xx

Re: Will i fluff?
overs tend to fluff earlier then unders cos there in no muscle holding the implant up. Like the girls have said, its just time hun. your boobs may appear bigger once the skin n everything relaxes and the lower breast fills out more x

Re: Will i fluff?
thanks girls, just felt upset because today is my first day back at work and some of the girls said that they wouldn't have known that i had it done if i hadn't of told them. i have a fitted vest top on and a chunky cardigan over the top.
also my sportsbra is so tight i feel like it might crack my ribs, is this normal, the surgeon told me to get a 34DD which i have but it really digs in me and i've had to put cotton wool pads un der the band x

Re: Will i fluff?
I had to go up 2 band sizes in my sports bra because of all the general swelling... it might be worth you trying a larger band size for a few days... loads more comfy!

Can't really add anything else, just wanted to say that once you are in normal bras your boobs will look so different to how they are now. x

Re: Will i fluff?
They will change and fill out and drop hun, whether they go up a cup size or not, I dont know, some people do, some people dont. It's also about learning how to dress your new boobs as well. Given time you will learn how to dress your new shape to emphasise or hide (if you wish) your new assests and they will also change a lot from day 6 to weeks or months down the line. I also suspect you have a touch of the boobie blues which is completely normal at this stage.
Re: Will i fluff?
hey hun just wanted to say i went thru the boobie blues - like all the girls have said its just about giving it time. I know easier said than done as im in the same boat! But you are VERY early in your recovery, even in a few days you will notice a difference. I know it was by day 8 i was feeling more myself, the GA does get you down/emotional very easily. Just rest up hun and dont stress xx

Don't worry about that sweetheart, as misf1 said, you'll learn over time how to dress your new boobs to make the most from them in time. The sportsbra is the most flattering thing either, it's squashes your new boobs flat hun and isn't at all flattering. When you're able to wear wired bras you'll see a big difference in how they'll look.

I found I needed go up a couple of band sizes through my recovery hun, I'm a 32 band but had to go to a 34 and then to a 36 my rib area swelled so much! If you have any bra expanders, they're great for popping on your bras and then losing again as the sweeling subsides, or if you'd prefer, maybe try a 36 band till the swelling starts to subside lovely. xx
