Ouch!
I'm on my own with my kids tonight (thankfully both are fast asleep now!).
Earlier my son was playing with his toys in my livingroom, climbed onto a chair and fell off, hitting his back off one of his large toys, hurting himself. Obviously my instincts kicked in and I reached down, grabbed him and picked him up (I was sitting down as I did this)
Now my left boob is sore and feels like I've aggravated the muscle.
Lucky for me my post op is in the morning so can ask if I've done any damage, fingers crossed it's just minor!!
I've adjusted to life with kids and boobs now. I can't pick my bulky 19month old up, so he's learnt the command for climbing onto my back if he wants me to take him anywhere

Re: Ouch!
Awwww sweetheart c'mere it's a difficult job being a mum sometimes isn't it, but the aching feeling you're experiencing is a normal reaction to you lifting this early post-op babe and your bodys way of twlling you to behave!... I'm sure you're gonna be just fine sweetie and it's good you're at clinic tomorrow too to get a little reassurance.
I understand a mothers natural reaction babe, each and every mother here will, but please do be careful lovely and if you feel you may still need a little help with the smaller children, don't be shy of asking your partner, parents or friends for a little more support for a couple of days. Remember you've just had major surgery hun, it's a lot to have to go through so you take care. xx

I don't think you'd be normal if you didn't put your childs needs before that of your own babe, this is why it's so essensial if you're able when you have little ones to have that support around you early post-op. xx
Re: Ouch!
I would have done exactly the same thing. Don't worry though, I'm sure you've not done any permanent damage
My 2 year old does the piggy back thing too - it's genius!! X

Re: Ouch!
Thank you ladies
I am feeling a bit sore today still, just my left boob, I'm just gonna have to take it easy I think.
I had my post op and it went perfectly! The nurse said my scars/ incisions are healing better than expected, but best of all........
I HAVE NO STRAPS ON
My skin is now very sensitive where the straps were due to constant sweat and moisture being trapped there for the past week! yack! I still have the sticky stuff on me, the nurse tried to get it off with an adhesive remover wipe though the wipe felt like a chemical peel on my skin so we left it instead
I can have a shower in two days, remove the steri strips she put on today and change them, OMG I cannot wait to have this shower!
My boobs are looking great without the straps, bit far apart at the minute, hopefully they'll come a bit closer together as they drop and settle.
Overall very pleased, plus I drove my car for the first time today

Re: Ouch!
Thank you!! I've just been taking some pictures of them, my friends came round earlier to 'meet the girls' too! they love them! haha!
I've been wearing a sports bra since the night of the op, The nurse said to me to wait until the morning after surgery to wear it, though my boobs felt sooo heavy and sore I just had to put it on the same evening!
Can't wait for pretty, sexy bras now!! still more than a month to go! damn! lol Xxxxx
