4 Days to go and petrified :O/
Ladies,
I have 4 days to go until my BA and i am getting even more petrified as the days go on. i keep thinking to myself can i do this.
my first worry was about being put to sleep because i've never been under GA before but now my worry is that i will wake up during the op (i know i'm being silly), i just cant seem to put my mind at rest.
i really hope i get excited on Thursday
sorry to moan on but i'm stuck at work and have no one to talk to about it.

Oh Zeezee, those fears are completely natural Hun. It's a big thing to go through but I'm sure you haven't taken the decision lightly! I had exactly the same thoughts about not waking up and I've had SEVEN GA's in my life time, so I'm a veteran, lol!
It really isn't that bad at all. Are you taking someone with you? Take someone who has a calming influence on you if you can. Try not to worry, you'll be fine with a lovely surprise when you wake up!! xx

thanks for the reassurance, sometimes i think its just me being an absolute wimp.
my boyfriend is coming with me who is being very supportive so that will definately help.
i really cant wait to wake up from the GA (i suppose it will feel as though i've been asleep for 2 minutes or something).
what was your first thought when i woke up x

Lol.. I was so groggy I just wanted to go back to sleep, but I was a day patient and was the last one in so had to wake myself up sharpish! My friend came with me and when we got home at 7pm-ish I was feeling fine..By 8 pm I was eating a chinese and watching a movie!!
I was all strapped up so didn't really have a proper look until the next day! Mine looked enormous to me at first, but now 2 weeks later, the swelling has gone down and I'm more used to them, I'm starting to get excited about new bra buying! I get my strapping off today, soooo can't wait! Xx

Awww come 'ere babe
You're gonna be just fine....Try reading the 'Your surgery stories' section of the forum hun, this really does help so many people to relax and get back that excitement before their op... reading ladoes who had the very same fears you do, who shared the very same emotions you're feeling and ALL coming back here super excited and happy to share that experience with us all and mostly just a day or two after their surgery!
Stay positive hun and look to what you're paying for! Remember all the reasons why you're doing this!
It's gonna be soooooo great when you get what you want sweetheart!
Chin up and read those stories hun, it; REALLY does help! xx

Hi Im having my op 22nd September and Im already terrified. I think your nerves are completely normal hun. Just try and keep as busy as possible between now and then, distract yourself as much as you can. Just keep thinking that before you know it it'll all be over and you'll have lovely new boobies!!
Good luck huni xx

Thanks Ladies, i think that if i couldn't just come on here and have a little moan and share my thoughts then i probably would have backed out on and cancelled my op and regretted it.
i really cant wait for my op to be over and done with and see my additions :)
i will be so proud of myself for doing it because i am the biggest wimp you will ever meet

Re: 4 Days to go and petrified :O/
I've had GA three times and it still scares me but I remember last time waking up and being so relaxed and goofy and thinking It's already over?? Trust me, it's super easy and will be over before you even realize you fell asleep! Tell them you're scared and they'll put something in the IV that makes you so relaxed and calm that you won't even mind! They told me to count to ten and I giggled, counted to 2, and woke up asking where the bunnies went lol !!
