Is there someone with you that can help you out? Could you maybe take a trip to the hairdressers and treat yourself to a wash and blow-dry? My mum washed my hair for me when I had my BA (partials) as I wasn't comfortable using my arms. Personally I wouldn't try it myself for another few days at least xx

My friend washed it yesterday but I feel i need to give it a good scrub.....! I feel okay however perhaps I should get my mum or a friend over. I just wanted to know if I could do any damage and I don't like asking people for help.

should shouldn't do much damage unless you lean on them against the bath i guess. i didn't wash mine for 4 days and then couldn't bear it anymore so stood over the bath and crouched my head down as much as poss so i didnt have to stretch my arms up much, got my mum to do a last final rinse for me tho i think x

I washed my hair, which was silly, i used to have shallow baths then get out and wash it over the bath, my partner do it once, but it wasnt how i do it, a bit like the hoovering lol...
Im a bit ocd tho, i have to have a bath between 4 and 5 every day, and wash my hair every day, other wise i feel dirty, ive been like this since i was small!
I was worse when i was pregnant, up to 4 baths a day, (craving for baths lol)

I didnt have any pain tho, so i felt fine to do, which was very silly, no wonder i ended up with an infection!
It is horrible, how long do you have to wait for a shower? xx

I have been bathing as I can't go without it. My friend washed my hair yesterday (bless her) and what a mess that was (water everywhere) lol, I just want to give it a good scrub, perhaps I should wait for my mum or mate to help me.
I was just going to try but thought i'd check with all you ladies first.

Thank you for your thoughts

I used the kitchen sink because it has a long hose with a spray nozzle on it.Since the sink is up high,I didn't have to bend far and the hose really helped me get a good rinse where I needed it.I had a lift as well so I didn't want to stretch my arms to much.

That was a really good question and Ill remember that but if I dont please remind me !!! as the mind is the first to go right?... (no it was the boobs) LOL do you just fill bath 1/4 to 1/2 and not get bandages wet as I am having a nipple incision not under crease.. so that is ok? because I dont think I could go a week with no bath...

My best pal came and washed mine and she's doing the same tmrw for me but she trained in beauty so kinda knows what she's doing. Batiste dry shampoo from boots is a godsend for in between washes. The pink one smells like a summery perfume,, lovely! xx

Yeah, the dry shampoo is definately not the same but it does make you at least look half decent, because it dry's up the natural oils. It will clog up if you have other products on your hair like hairspray though. I'm a hairdresser and always have it in my kitbag for emergencies! x
