August Buddies!

Ok, well I just spoke to him, he called me back, and while Santander (my bank) include weekends as normal days and only don't include bank holidays when they say working days, Nationwide (his bank) do it the normal way and say working days are Monday to Friday.

But he is going to double and triple check with his bank that the money has gone to the right account and then he'll let me know what they say and when they say it will be with me.

And as for did I think he would back out - erm, I do trust him but I must admit a small part of me was scared that he had backed out (probably trust him about 90%). Once the money is there and paid to MyBreast, I will feel like I am eternally in his debt cos I will be so so grateful even though I've already done him a couple of favours which the money is thanks for (if you get what I mean!)

And missy - I'm so glad you managed to find the extra £1000 so that your op can still go ahead!!!! It's still a real sh1t that someone stole it from you in the first place though xx

aw hun, glad you finally spoke with him. Aleast you know that he hasnt backed out. So lets hope the money is def been put in the right account and you have it soon.

Right, he has spoken to his bank. It has definitely gone from them and has gone to the right account. But unlike Santander who consider weekends normal days now, Nationwide only think Monday-Friday are working days. So 5 working days from last Tuesday is tomorrow. So it should be with me tomorrow.

I now just have to call MyBreast and ask them for a week extension to make sure that the money gets to me!!!

aw babes, my bank is the same, considers 5 working days mon to friday. Ill be thinking of you tomorrow. Let us know what my breast says, im sure they will be fine and they prob have some people in the same situation xxx

I called MyBreast and my PA isn't in today but the girl I spoke to couldn't get through to accounts so she put a note on the account that I'm expecting the money tomorrow and will pay it when I get it, but she said to keep in touch even if the money doesn't come. So they've been really good with it.

Unfortunately my bank have now taken charges from my account so I'm £60 over my overdraft so I'll be £60 short on the money for my op until Thursday when I get paid, and I told them that too and she said ok.

Keep everything crossed for me for getting the money tomorrow girls!!! xx

Aw hun, glad they have been okay. What a pain? But if it goes in tomorrow and your only 60 pound short, its better then being 6000 pounds short hun. Ill be thinking of you tomorrow hun. xxx

Yeah exactly my thoughts hun. £60 is better than £6000!!! I'm sure they wouldn't try to postpone my op for the sake of £60, would they??

Anyway, thanks hun. I'll be on in the morning to let you know if the money has come through!

Girls I need a rant.

The money isn't in my account. It was sent last Tuesday, apparently (I only have his word for it), so 5 working days is today so it should be here by now.

I'm really starting to think he's screwed me over.

I have text him and tried calling so many times today already but I'm not getting any reply.

And now it is too late to get my deposit back if I cancel cos yesterday was the last day of the 14 day cooling off period. So if he has screwed me over then I'm £250 out of pocket and I really could do with that money.

Help girls, I'm a mess, what do I do now?

My kids are downstairs but I'm crying my eyes out and feel so crap I can't even drag myself out of bed :-(

I do know him pretty well. But evidently not as well as I thought.

I've heard from him and apparently he is in meetings all day so will call me later. But he said it has left his account so should be with me either today or tomorrow. But I wouldn't have thought that it would take longer than 5 working days and tomorrow would be 6!!

I keep checking my account to see if it has suddenly gone in but still no.

Only thing is I will give it til tomorrow but if it doesn't come tomorrow then I'm going to have to cancel the op. It is hard to say that but I just don't have any strength or fight left in me.

oh rach im so sorry. i have you tried finance? are you sure he hasnt put it later then tuesday, you know what these typical men are like, say one day but means it was thursday or friday they put it in. xxx

nooo rach i'm so sorry to hear this!!! have faith though, banks are awful! i've had loads of problems in the past so keep thinking positive thoughts, do not stress yourself over it! turn that frown upside down and go out with your kids for an after tea walk. we all have our fingers crossed for you!

hope the money comes thru hunny, probably just some sort of mix up ring your bank again tommorow. im sure my breast will understand if you explain the money situation to them.



how come you were charged £60 for going overdrawn thats rather extortionate isnt it??? think id be asking for a refund with that!

I asked my gp for a tummy tuck a while back and was told I need to lose weight first. I've nearly lost the weight now, only 5kg to go. But having asked for a tummy tuck I can't really go and ask for a lift and BA, they'll think I'm taking the pee! Plus I'm only borderline tubular breasts and doubt I'd get what I need done on the Nhs.

I have tried getting loans and credit and stuff but can't get anything cos until recently I've been on an iva, plus even though I'm off it now I still doubt I would get one cos I have £300 rent arrears, £100 or so debt to gas and electric, a £300 credit card maxed out, and about £800 owed to Avon from when I was a rep.

But I've heard from him this evening and he said he is trying to find out where his money has gone seeing as I haven't got it yet so part of me wants to believe it, but then he asked for my bank details again so I'm thinking perhaps he only just got the money together and wanted my bank details to send the money and has been making excuses until now. What do you girls think??

I haven't called Mybreast but have been out all afternoon so haven't had the chance. I'll call them in a mo and explain and ask for an extension.

And the £60 charge wasn't for going overdrawn. 2 lots of £25 was for 2 bounced direct debts and only £10 was for going overdrawn.

oh rach, i really feel for you. Well maybe he has been a typical bloke and he didnt put the money in tuesday. Talking from experience, my husband says his done, for me to find out he has but its been two days late. lol

I know what you mean by finance, im having to put it all my hubby credit card. Why is it you always get debt from avon when your a rep, that happened to me. lol.

I really hope you get it sorted hun, and he get the money to you asap. xxx

Thanks Tasha. I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that it comes tomorrow. But I somehow doubt it will. And I've no idea why we end up with debt from Avon!! My hubby was a rep too and he has about the same debt now he has quit!
