Re: August Buddies!
Nice one lolly!!!!
I'm just waiting for the money to hit my account from my friend and then I'll be paying for mine! He sent it yesterday so it should be here within 3-5 working days according to his bank (going from Nationwide to Santander). So I should have the money between Friday and Tuesday at the absolute latest - but I'm hoping that it is here by Monday cos I need to pay on Monday as that is 21 days before my op!!

Re: August Buddies!
Hi Chezza to August buddies my measurements are almost the same as yours but I'm between a AA and A cup now, the surgeon first recommended 300cc to take me to a full C cup but as dizee said a lot of girls end up wishing they had gone bigger so he's now agreed to try to fit 400cc in but if not it'll be 360cc which will hopefully take me to a D. I've seen lots of people on here say that there boobs post op measure bigger than they look, my ops 4 days before yours x

Re: August Buddies!
Just wondered if anyone else pays nothing till the day of the surgery. I've not had to pay a penny yet and I can see the surgeon as many times as I want preop and sill pay nothing till I go in for the op. Not decided yet if this is good or bad it's meant to be so there is no pressure to go through with it if your still unsure but is anyone completely 100% sure on the day I don't want to get last minute nerves and back out

Who are you going with Donna?
I'm going with MyBreast and they require the money 21 days before surgery at the latest, which for me is Monday next week. Just got to hope that the money gets into my account in time for me to pay them,!!!

I'm going with sunmed connections but I'm living in cyprus so think some things are just done different over here. I wish I could just pay it now I don't like the money sitting there in my account I keep thinking some emergency will crop up and I'll have to cancel everything or I'll just wimp out on the day if I paid now I know I'd go through with it, hope your money gets there in time rach I'm crossing my fingers for you (well I will when I've finished typing) xxx

Re: August Buddies!
Hi Donna,
I'm sure you won't back out on the day of your surgery. I think that it's really good that you don't have to pay until the actual day. At least there's no pressure on you.
Ive got mine in less than two weeks (fully paid) and there have been days that i've wondered i'm doing the right thing.....
Am very excited though, just worried about have the GA.

Hi everyone,
Is anyone else freaking out about having the general anaesthetic?, I've even started to have weird dreams about things going wrong!.
I know it's probably irrational but i can't get these worries out of my head. I've never had a GA and so really don't know what to expect. I fully trust my surgeon in relation to the actual operation but i'm really frightened about being put to sleep!.
Am also very excited though at the prospect of having booooooobs!!.
xx

Hey nicki! I've been having lots of weird booby dreams recently too! None of them are good either! You'll be fine with the GA, it's just like having a really deep sleep when you wake up. Xxx

Re: August Buddies!
Hi Nicki,
I know the feeling... All I'm thinking is that an anesthetist is a dr who will be monitoring you every second that you're asleep. I had GA when I was about 7yrs old and it was the nicest feeling, you just drift off to sleep :-)
just think about what you'll wake up with! Woooo woooo!!! X x

Re: August Buddies!
I've had a couple of GA in my life (tonsils when I was 7, a termination in 2003, and 2 laparoscopies in 2005 and 2010). I promise there is nothing to it.
You go from your room down to theatre and stop in the anaesthetic room (although this was with NHS hospital, I'm not sure if private is different, you may go straight into theatre and have the anaesthetic there, I don't know). You lay down on the bed/table (unless you go in on your bed which sometimes you do) and they put a needle in the back of your hand. Then they give you medicines which make you feel kinda floaty and light and then you fall asleep.
When you wake up it honestly feels as though you have just shut your eyes for a few seconds, but really you've been out for a little while - usually around an hour for a BA.
There are so many people around and tons of machines that all make sure you are ok during the op, so try not to worry.
I haven't had any odd dreams yet (got a little while til my op as mine is middle of August) but I am starting to have trouble sleeping. I wake up several times a night and take ages to go to sleep in the first place. But at the moment mine is partly excitement for the boobs and partly apprehension of the money not coming through in time to pay for it!

Re: August Buddies!
Thanks everyone for your reassuring words. Wow Rach26 you really have had GA quite a few times hey?. I think that what's worrying me the most is the unknown. I feel guilty having it done anyway as i have two young children and i have never done anything "just for me".
You're all right though, the Dr's are highly trained and do this every day!. I am excited too just don'y want any more "weird" dreams! haha.
Thanks guys, i feel better now.

Re: August Buddies!
I'm super nervous as I have never been put under either... But, I am sure that everything will be fine for both of us NickiH! How many girls do and how many do you hear of having complications?? Its probably a rare case!
And just think, you go to sleep and wake up with boobs. Honestly...I am pretty excited about the sleeping part as I have three kids and barely ever get enough of it!
I've got 19 days!!! And look at you! 13 to go!! LUCKY!!!!! Good luck to both of us!

You're right, its silly me even worrying like this. I should just think of the positives!. 18 days for you now!, which isn't long at all.
Wooooo Hoooooo!!

Re: August Buddies!
Dizee I hope it comes through. It hasn't arrived yet and today is 3 working days. I just really hope it is here by Monday so I can pay on Monday when it's due to be paid rather than having to call them and say I need a couple more days for it to get to me before I can pay them. But if I have to phone them then I will.
Nicki I feel really guilty at the mo too. I have 5 kids and everything I do is for them. This is the first time since I had kids that I've done something for myself (aside from my tattoos). I rarely buy myself anything and all my money, time and attention goes on my kids. And even though I'm not actually paying for my boobs as I'm being given the money by a friend I still feel guilty not just for the money side of it (cos I could take them on a huge holiday for that kind of money) but also cos I'm going to be not paying them as much attention as normal and won't be able to look after them. I know my husband will be here to look after them but I still feel bad that I won't be there for them!!

Re: August Buddies!
Well... This time next week I'm going to be twice as anxious as I am today and that could be interesting!! So excited that I'm bouncing off the office walls right now... I haven't told anyone at work so I'm having to keep my mouth shut to which is very hard work ;-)
I am starting to doubt my decision to have teardrop as I'm not sure what they'll look like as a cleavage... Not that I often wear very low tops. Has anyone got any experience of what they'll be like?!?
Thanks ladies x
