Hi girls i went to have my stitches out yesturday, when the nurse took the dressings off, she said they looked slightly gungie, she took the disposible ones off, they were stuck in the gunk!! and took my temp, it was very high! mr chantarsak came in, said they felt fine, but because they were slightly weeping and the high temp, he said i have to wait another week for the stitches to come out!! and gave me a weeks course of anti-biotics!!!!

I looked at the scars in the mirror, apart from the gunk, they are healing really well, i had a tiny hole where the stitch should be, but she said that was good as the weeping had managed to escape, rather than build up inside... so here goes to another blood week of shallow baths!!!
Roll on next week boohoo :((

Oh hun sorry to hear this. At least your ps has seen it himself tho and given you anti biotics. Infections can be nasty if not caught and treated properly so good to know you're getting good care. X

hE SAID AS I WAS EARLY FOR THE POST OP OPPOINTMENT, I WENT ON DAY 10 AND ITS BETWEEN 10-14 SO IT COULD HAVE GOT NASTY I GUESS!!
HE SAID KEEP AN EYE ON THEM, AND MAKE SURE THEY DONT GET RED OR HARD... I STILL HAVE A TEMP, BUT I PUT THAT DOWN TO IT BEING HOT YESTERDAY IN THERE, BUT TODAY I HAVE A NIGGLING IN MY RIGHT BREAST. THEY HAVE SENT A SWAB OFF, AND ARE GOING TO LET ME KNOW IF IM ON THE WRONG TABLETS

oh no... lets hope that the antibiotics get shot of the infection real fast. your boobs look FANTASTIC by the way..

Oh no hunny. I'm sorry. I can't believe it as you have had such a easy time of it too. Fingers crossed that the antibiotics kill all the infection and that's the end of that for you. Hugs hunny as it's horrible to go through I bet x x

Oh no, that's too bad Hun! I am glad they caught it early, hopefully by the end of the week you can have those stitches out and have a nice long shower! I agree... You look great in your avatar!

Thanks girls, i was shocked as i felt ok, apart from the odd niggle here and here, i was just sooo looking forward to a nice hot shower!
oh well better to be safe than sorry, only 6 days to go 9again) haha..

Hope all you just post op girls are feeling ok and healing well.
Oh i wanted to know actually, obviously these scars are slightly infected, the cuts look good, just weeping, but my bra is doing my head in, if i sit down it digs in, would it harm to take the bra off at all, even just at bed time?

I don't see that it would hurt if you were on the sofa taking it easy for a bit but I wouldn't risk it for too long. I tried to go to bed without my bra last night and within 10 mins I had an awful awful pain searing through my right boob...so I won't be trying that again in a hurry. I spend short periods of time without a bra after getting out the shower etc and it's feeling a little better each time but I still feel relief when I get a bra back on xxxx Try a small peice of a sanitary towel against the bra to take away some of the diggin in xxx

ah thanks yettiricey what a brilliant idea.. as it is mainly just when i sit down!
But i do like having the bra on, it makes me feel safe if that makes sense lol.
Its still all worth it tho! xx

Its best to catch a infection early...........infections left without treatment could lead to the implant being removed, the pocket cleaned out and then 3 months later once the infection has cleared a new implant put back in.

You have caught your infection very early hun and its being treated....its wouldnt have gone deep so youll be fine!

Thank god it was b4 i saw the nurse then to have the stitches out. Its worrying though incase of infections in the future :( ill keep an eye on them, hopefully they have gave me the right tablets, if not their going to ring me as soon as the swabs are back to let me know x

Thanks girls... so still no hoovering then? :( lol.... i guess im lucky i have no pain etc.. is it ok to drive while i have this? she did say the scars look nice and neat, just a little hole, where its weeping, its lucky i have this tiny hole so it could seep through! other wise it would have been worse..

i had a small hole when sum of my scabs came off, i was lucky it didnt get infected!!! dont worry too much bout th shallow baths. I was so excited to b given th all clear for baths, but as soon as i was allowed, suddenly i didnt dare cos i didnt wanto get an infection, so i still waited a few more days lol xx

Yes im defo not going to have a shower till at least nxt monday, i think if i get straight in saturday that would be rushing it seems its still infected xx
