one WAAAAY more swollen .....
I know it's still early days but just a bit scared about my right one. I've had an amazing recovery so far with regards to the pain side of things as it seems to have subsided really quickly to just discomfort but I am so so worried about the swelling in my right boob...
It is so so swollen at the top compared to the left one & is really really puffy in comparison when I touch them at the same time to compare. I know its normal to have one more sore but still can't help being scared. I've been using an ice pack that they gave me to take home and been taking my arnica to help the swelling but it seems like the right one has not changed or gone down at all so far :pale: the ice pack doesn't seem to be making a difference.
Terrified that there might be something wrong but I don't go for my first check up for another 4 days and also the nurse I spoke to on the phone just keeps saying 'its normal' so i feel stupid ringing them again.

Sorry to not be of help here but yes this is normal, in fact it can last quite sometime with one being more swollen/different to the other especially with unders, just keep up the good work with aiding your recovery and hopefully you will start to see some improvement soon.
If you are at all worried don't feel bad to call the nurse, you've paid for the service after all so use it as often as you want regardless of how minor xx

I know you dont want to here this... but I think it is normal!!! Think we have all had this 'odd boobs' it is two seperate parts of your body, therefore different healing times. I had it with my right one and it is only recently that it has fully evened up. But, if you are over concerned I would ring again, it is their job to be understanding of patients needs and concerns without leaving you feeling worse than before you ring. Thinking of you xx

Re: one WAAAAY more swollen .....
HI, not much help as I'm pre-op but maybe u could try eating pineapple..apparently the bromelain in it can accelerate healing after surgery and reduce inflammation if eaten inbetween meals (not during or after).
I think the swelling is just the body's way of healing itself (your breasts have been through a lot in the lst few days!) so I'm sure it's perfectly normal and all part of the healing process.
Keep on with the ice pack and hope you feel better soon xx

Re: one WAAAAY more swollen .....
You should treat each boob as a separate operation with separate recovery and settling periods... at this stage do not worry at all hun!! The swelling takes a while to go down and if, for instance, it was a bit harder to fit the implant in one side than the other, that side will have more swelling, but there could be 1000 different causes. I was more swollen on one side too initially x
