Swollen.com !!!!!
Hiya,
So I'm on day 2 post-op and I am SO SWOLLEN!!!! I know that's completely normal and to be expected, but is it supposed to be such constant discomfort?? I'm having no pain at all from incisions in crease or around nipple. But am in constant discomfort from the swelling. Got frozen veg/sausages on them constantly.
I had overs by the way....it hurts and I'm being a baby I'm sure!! But just want to hear from someone else that they found the swelling really constant and uncomfortable!!
Thanks xxxxx

Re: Swollen.com !!!!!
You're not a baby at all
When that swelling kicks in it can feel quite sore and don't be surprised if you get a little more tomorrow - Day 3 is generally the worse.
The icepacks you're using will help, they were a godsend for me, also if you're up to it, try and get yourself mobile as quickly as you can babe, even if that's only a little walk round the lounge then get some rest.
If the swelling is around your ribs and feels tender at all, try popping a sanitary towel between your bra and skin, it acts as a lovely soft cushion and will help ease the pain. xx

Hiya, thanks cookie!!
It feels good just to hear that it will subside eventually!!!! I love the sanitary towel idea too. Right now the welling is mainly at the top of my breasts.
I will try and have a walk around the house later when I'm feeling less sick - and hurry up day 4 is all I can say, lol !!! I've got my 30th birthday party 9 days post op, lol :) xxxxx

Re: Swollen.com !!!!!
I didnt realise I was swelled , but mine is mainly around my ribs.
Tried the bra extender last night to sleep and I feel loads better this morning.
Roll on next week, I'm sure we'll be well on the way to feeling better!

Re: Swollen.com !!!!!
I was really uncomfortable for the first few days and day 3 was the worst day! Strange how many of the girls who have had a ba really struggle on day 3! But by day 4 they eased abit.Anyway I bought myself sum breast pads that u put in the freezer and slipped them in my sports bra if I was going out and that helped alot then I wud put them back in freezer and put them back in for an hour b4 bed. This really helped with the swelling and discomfort. Hope it gets better real soon Hun xxxx
